Okay, thirty-second backstory: one of my friends has a daughter who's starting kindergarten and is really upset that she'll be bald on her first day, because she currently has leukemia. I told her if she had to go to school bald, I'd go to work bald, and I got my head shaved today.
I happen to think it actually looks pretty okay, but a woman in a skirt, earrings, and a shaved head is going to stand out. Should I avoid doing shops for 3-4 months until it grows back in, or should I be just fine if I throw on a cute hat? (I crochet, I have plenty of those in designs ranging from storebought fedoras to homemade newsboys.) Pick up a long scarf and do the Thelma and Louise thing for a few months? Or is it getting to be enough of "not a thing" that a young woman with a buzzed head would barely merit comment?
