I'm looking to hear about all the great schedulers. smiling smiley

I wish I had someone to nominate. I'll be looking forward to reading about the best schedulers from other shoppers.

Are we only allowed to nominate one?

You can nominate as many as you wish; they just each have to be in separate posts, so members can vote for the scheduler by "liking" your post. smiling smiley

Awesome! I posted one.

Wow, you don't fool around, BBird! I have two or three to nominate and good luck to me and mine! smiling smiley

PS
Don't forget to "like" your own post, especially since it counts as a vote.

can i nominate myself? I give myself all the shops I
want, change the dates right away and never question
the amounts I need to do a shop

Here's a prediction.

There will be no nominations for folks from scheduling companies. Not necessarily because those people can't be worthy, but because the position scheduling companies are in don't allow them to be great.

I am totally stoked about this contest for all sorts of obvious reasons and have to admit that I have forwarded the thread to a couple of the nominated schedulers. Their responses included: "That is sweet of you to share. Makes me feel good, someone appreciates me!" and "YAY! That’s awesome. I’m extremely honored! I..appreciate the kind words."

Thank you so much to all of you who have participated and to all of you who plan on participating. It's such a positive thing to let another individual know they're appreciated! smiling smiley

I think it's a great way to let people know how much you appreciate them. We all know some pretty snarky schedulers, so I think it's about time some of the ones who have managed to keep their cool can be recognized.

Thank you Stilllearning.

Vlade, you have been proven wrong. There has been an influx of votes for KSS schedulers and all are from people who have never posted before.

Sounds like the voting may have been skewed, albeit unintentionally.

Lisa, I was thinking the same thing and did an analysis. This is what I found: There were 7 nominations from people, who have been registered with the forum at least a few months; there were 5 votes from people, who just signed up today.

James, I wish I could believe the "unintentional" part, however of the members, who just signed up today, four of them only spent minutes on the forum, ranging from 4 minutes to 19 minutes. Very unusual for a new member, wouldn't you say?

In addition, I researched the "likes" for the new members' posts. One post had 4 "likes" from members, who had just signed up today and those "likers" (my new word) were only on the forum for minutes, one of them for 1 minute and the other for 6 minutes. Again, I found this very unusual behavior for a new member.

Why would someone go to the trouble of fixing this contest? Makes no sense to me.

Oh wait, folks, we have a new record! A poster has signed up on the forum, nominated someone and signed off, all within 2 minutes. My grandchildren are more devious. smiling smiley

Free advertising. We have several posters who signed up literally the same minute they made a nomination and immediately exited. Sounds like someone might be calling friends and relatives and asking them to register to "vote for me."

It would not be the first time a MSC employee contacted individuals and asked them to register on the forum specifically to post something favorable about their company.
Some of these people have been members for two years, though.

I totally agree with you, BBird. What a waste of time and effort, especially when they could be spending that same time and effort doing something positive. Makes no sense to me either. smiling smiley

No worries.

@AustinMom, I'm still wavering between your theory and another one. I'm interested in watching how this plays out and, honestly, am not worried about the outcome.

Why do people feel compelled to do this sort of thing?

Stilllearning, I could be wrong. Totally wrong. I've been wrong before. And, BigBird, I'm not talking about the ones who have been registered for two years and logged in to nominate someone. I'm talking about the ones who registered within the same minute they posted to the Scheduler Nomination thread and then exited immediately.

I don't really see that it matters much. It's just funny to sit back and watch.
AustinMom... one of the ones who was registered for two years, that was her/his only post. And she/he recommended the same person as the others.

That's why I don't "get" it.

Everyone keeps calling me BigBird. sad smiley

BB, perhaps I have too much time on my hands. I guess I've spent more time looking at the thread than you have, because, while I see several who have been registered for a couple of years, I also count 5 new forum members who registered and immediately posted to the nominations thread, one yesterday and four today.

And - my apologies on your name - please don't be offended - when I see BBird, my eyes see "BigBird. Years of Sesame Street, I guess. I do love Big Bird if that helps any. And I've come to regard you with affection. But I'll try to call you BB instead of BigBird in the future. Sorry.
Ha, I loved watching Sesame Street; my kids not so much. smiling smiley

I suppose it's possible that people who have been registered for a while but never posted before finally found something that piqued their interest enough to tap out a post - I'll reluctantly give them a pass.

However, the ones who just became members (including the ones who chose screen names with similar patterns) and logged in only long enough to nominate a person and "like" the others. Pfffffffft.

Luckily, this isn't an "official" election and the creative duo of Stilllearning and Jacob can do what they like - including declaring Big Bird the winner at the end.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have some sand castles to kick over.

Okay, you two. What do you want?

It's too bad there is a history of a few MSC employees and owners registering under multiple screen names in order to provide glowing reviews where few, if any, exist. It is one of the many reasons I detest threads about favorites.
