How is everyone's September so far?

I have only done 6 shops this month, and have nothing currently scheduled! I belong to roughly 75 companies and in my area there is just nothing out there. I contemplated signing up for a DQ shop at $14.50, but noticed today they lowered it to $12.50. This is probably the worst month I've had in the 3 years I've been doing this.

Things are becoming stressful at my full-time job, so I'm planning to slow down with the shops this month and focus on just subsidizing my food expense for the month.

Last week, I completed 26 assignments which mostly contained food assignments ranging from fast food to fast casual to dine-in. I also squeezed in a couple of movies I wanted to watch and some phone call evaluations. For the rest of the month, I only have 16 scheduled so far, but I usually schedule as I see them.

I think I'm burning out though and my girlfriend's definitely noticing it lol. May have to ramp down for the next month or so until things finally cool down with my full-time job.

I have noticed a slower month as well compared to previous months. What I have noticed is instead of the shops being top heavy in the beginning, it seems like they are slowing being released as the days go by. I am not sure if some companies are off to a slow start and/or trying to play catch up for last month. Yesterday alone, I received a $20 bonus on a retail shop and a $102 gas expense approval to complete a shop three hours away. It has certainly been an odd month over this way. I would be interested to see how everyone else's month is rolling.
Busy, busy, busy. On site medical shops, apartment shop, new home shop, 4 video cell phone shops, 2 parking shops, 2 airport circuits. By 9/15 I will have made the nut for the month.

Based in MD, near DC
Shopping from the Carolinas to New York
Have video cam; will travel

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Decent considering I really didn't start looking for work until the 4th due to travel. Not as busy as the summer, but on target to meet my minimum with only the first half of the month filled.
My September mark was scheduled by the last week of August.

I tend to alternate between video and non-video. Last month, I only had three video shops. This month, I have fourteen scheduled. I also tend to alternate between medium and light shop months. Last month was medium, this month is light.

Phoebe I had my worst month in three years last month! At the same time others were posting what a great month they were having! I've noticed that in the time I've been on the forums that while some are saying they're having a terrible months others will say it's the best ever!!
Sounds like Shopper A, with their best month ever, took all the shops from Shopper B, who is having their worst month ever.

BBird, I have never liked those Shopper A's! They're all so darn greedy. smiling smiley

August 2014 was my best and most insane month since I started MS'ing three years ago. I was looking forward to a quieter September but NOT. I am scheduled through to the last week of the month. I even ended up working on Labor Day because I had jury duty the following day and could not work.

But I guess I shouldn't complain because soon enough the snowbirds will be swooping down upon us and snatching up all the shops.

I was booked two weeks into September from the end of August. I've made more than I anticipated for the entire month in a few days.. hoping some more shops come up for the remaining weeks. So far I have done 26 bank shops, 9 cell phone shops, 8 gas audits, 1 apartment shop (2 more to complete). Better enjoy it now because from what I remember of last year, assignments were nowhere to be found towards the winter months.

Really slow here. I had a busy August and was hoping to be just as busy this month, but so far, it's kind of slim pickings. I refuse to do those no-fee pizza shops.
Crazy, I normally only work the 4th week of the month for the bonuses. I have already done 4 bonused shops with 6 more heavily bonused bank shops next week. I have no idea why the bonuses are popping up so early, but I'm very surprised to see people having a slow month. Must be location...................
My month is full and I'm already getting phone calls like it's the end of the month.

It is the last quarter of the year and many clients, mainly retail, slow down or stop their mystery shopping starting in mid-to-late November thru December so it is now crunch time for the schedulers.

Well my prescription glasses with transition lenses were eaten by the ocean when I went in just "to rinse off the sand" from a prior tossing in the rough sea. It threw me around like a piece of seaweed in about 2 feet of water...poof glasses were gone in the churned up sea.

Low and behold, I snagged a nice eyeglass reimbursement shop to help defray about half the cost of new ones today. Applied, was accepted, did the shop and got the glasses all in one day. Plus I needed new ones anyway, but was procrastinating about it. So that worked out.

My September is starting out well.

I'm still new at this, so this month is my best yet. I've made almost $200. I'm still getting the hang of this lol. I don't have anything else scheduled yet, but I'm trying to look for shops that don't require a purchase. Money is starting to get tight, and my full-time job had slowed down tremendously. Hopefully I can keep up this pace though! Between mystery shopping, my job, and attending college part-time, I tend to stay pretty busy.

Free food=best food!
Had my first 5 guys shop during some idle time. Didn't realize how juicy and delicious an unseasoned burger can taste. Mmmmmmm. Also picked up my first H n C shops. A lot easier than expected with niiice pay, got my ipad fixed for free and I also have a narrative free airport circuit this weekend. So good so far! =)
Slammed..... Work 7 days a week shopping, demos and merchandisingsmiling smiley

There are more shops, than there are "days" to do them!
This is only my second month doing this (part-time, I have a fulltime job) and I have already had 16 shops this month, with 10 of those occurring last friday and saturday alone. I think I am so busy because I was on vacation for Labor Day weekend and relaxing in the air-conditioning during the day with free wifi. Kept my computer on and was alerted the minute the scheduling emails came in so it seems I was able to schedule a few that had already been filled by the time I tried last month. I'm still too new to feel comfortable asking for bonusing, but I was able to get 2 grocery shops with shop fees plus $30 food reimbursement this week alone, plus a few other "odd" retail shops with reimbursement that I used to get my Christmas shopping done, so if I don't work another day this month I am happy.
September has been on average with the past months. I started picking up more MF FF shops to fill in some time. Did one video shop and about to do the IMSC certification for video shoppers. Sent in my test and just waiting for the results. I'm also a full time student, so it's about as much as I can do. Got two oil changes, one facial, two bars, one restaurant, two banks and one gas station and a few retail credit card audits to do in the next week or so. That's about it for me.

Me too - August was so dismal I still haven't totaled my spreadsheet out of fear of going into shock when I see the piddly total...
I'm displaying/selling some of my photographs with the local arts & crafts guild this weekend at a home show. I just picked up a shop for the convention center's hotel buffet breakfast for one day while I'm there...I get a free meal...good way to start the day.
