It's actually lunch, but considering the fact that I saw two roaches on my last McD's visit, I'm not too keen on doing this smiling smiley

My month is as busy as I want it to be. I've left a couple of open slots mid and end-of-month for goodies, or downtime.
A little slower, I have had to hustle more to get a full slate. I won't leave the house for less than $100. Hope it picks up.
Plenty of shops in my Neck of the Woods, I have done 13 so far, like to do more but I can't find time to do some of them, between full time work and helping friends out to relocate, after their earthquake damamged their building, has kept me busy.

I am taking it easy this September. I just got back from a MS Cruise shop and finished up its 250+ page narrative (a record according to the MS).

There are a few shops here and there I am picking up but nothing too big. I have one MS scheduler that is dangling an impressive "Boy's Night Out" themed shop in front of me for a stupid huge bonus. But it is five shops (restaurant, retail, casino & hotel, and bar) that need to be completed in one night.
Wowwwww. Was the narrative literally that long? How long did it take you to write? Was it worth it?
I was on vacation last week and had wanted to pick a couple up on the road...but between getting mad at Walmart for messing up my tablet order, and not having reliable internet access, I didn't take any (had wanted to even do a couple shops at the airport before heading home and didn't see any).

Hoping to remedy that this weekend...one MSC is bonusing out their cable company inquiry shops $10 normally for a nice bonus of $20.....and it looks like they have several in my area. Might snag a chocolate shop too from a local outlet mall since its near a Farmers Market I like to get to in NW Indiana.....

June was legendary. July meh. August more meh. September is already looking lovely and I haven't done a single assignment yet. I'm looking to max my earnings this month and create a just-as-good-if-not-better copycat of June. Good luck to everyone else!
I have already done a month's worth of work by the 10th. I am eager to see what the rest of the month brings.

250+ page or word narrative? You might as well have been writing a thesis paper! Holy crow.. hope that was a good cruise!!

I'm sure it was a 250+ page report. 250 words is nothing.

Yes it was 250+ pages. The scheduler/auditor said it broke a long standing record. During the cruise shop, I had 60+ specific scenarios to hit. Thanks to technology, I voice recorded all my conversations, saved them, and fed them into the voice dictator. Then I had to fix some hiccups now and then. It took me about 12 hours to get everything in a format that was presentable to the MS. The auditor called me a few times to get clarification, but in the end, I got an A+.

It was funny, my master's thesis was 279 pages long, not including sources.

I went ahead and took the "Boy's Night Out" shop. My buddy is coming with me and we are basically getting paid to watch football, drink, and gamble.

For some reason, I can't find a MSC that does shops for strip clubs or brothels. LOL
There was one that did shops at Adult Bookstores in this area.....

So far this has been a great month. I have done 38 shops and made $727 in fees not including reimbursements. Looks like I am an A shopper this month.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
I'll be halfway done with my monthly goal on Sunday, mostly thanks to some higher paying shops on Sunday that I wouldn't normally take. Was out of town and didn't even check email until 9/6 so that's pretty good for me.
Of course. Figure out the value of your time and that is your acceptable fee. Try to find the simplest method for calculating so you don't always find yourself guessing or asking if you can call them back. I take my desired hourly fee and add $5 an hour to cover gas and other expenses.

Anyone from Florida? How are the shops in the winter in FL?

I am trying to schedule multi-shop days but when one MSC wants one done in Tampa on one day another company wants it done the same day in Orlando.
There is lot available in my area but I am not that comfortable doing more than 4 shops on a given day. My brain can not retain that much info. Plus, my mind is constantly worried I won't pick up my little guy from Kindergarten in time. It did happen! A quick retail shop turned an hour which I rushed the poor girl. Teach them to keep me waiting 15 minutes before even acknowledging me!

It's been a busy month for August and also for September. I had a lot of deadline shops already this month, my average shops have been averaging $24 a shop.
I am loving the end of the quarter and have filled up my schedule but July and August were down for me. Go figure?
So far I'm having a good month, some new establishments have come up including a new living community shop that pays decent. August was really slow for me because kids out of school and getting my older off to college, so I'm happy with how Sept is going...
Returned from my trip late for the 1st. week...but got a couple restaurants in town. Not wanting to drive and walk, as L.A. is having a major heat wave (102+), and I get dizzy, so sitting back waiting for next month. Retiring from most of it though.

Live consciously....
Slow on Long Island, and it's been that way for the past several months. What I really need to do is go back to getting those applications out again as many of my old faithfuls have lost their contracts with some of their clients.
Did 2 fine restaurants, 2 hotels, and one more to go this week. Then I take it easy for the rest of the month.
Looking forward to a relaxing Alaskan Inside Passage cruise.
Seems normal in SoCal, 8 grocery shops, 6 dept store shops, 2 restaurants. October should be good as I have 6 casiono/hotel shops on my Vegas casino run in late October.
I've been seeing fewer shops during the last couple of months. Although I do not care to do Cell phone shops, I have mainly been doing them only to pick up some of the slack. Otherwise I think there are many more shoppers as I haven't received some of the big restaurant shops I normally get to do once every two months. I saw one of my favorite fast food shop was sucked up right away and normally I can grab that.
Vegas Casino run? might have to consider something like that eventually!!!!

I did two last weekend...one for an outlet store chocolate shop and one of a cell company that's bonused out in this area.....maybe do some more of those later this week....

Am trying to branch out a little and might not hesitate to do a hotel shop.....theres a higher end hotel shop in downtown Chicago that one company is starting up again.....looks tempting since I've always wanted to stay at the nicer hotels there....
