Only October? I think I'm booked through the end of the year.

There are reasons that a body stays in motion
At the moment only demons come to mind
I never book too far out. I'm always worried something better will come along and I'll have tied myself down. My husband calls it "Kissing with your eyes open."

Well admittedly December is just a rough outline right now. I wanna take two trips in December but there have been no booking of the shops.

I have set up my spreadsheet for October but only one shop scheduled so far. I am wondering what happened to my September quarterly Sky Mall circuit shops, it is not scheduled yet. Also, have not seen my healthy food store shop this month. Goes to show you MSing is not a done deal. Lots of telephone shops this month tho- thank goodness.
Maybe I wasn't clear. When I said October...I meant
I am actually starting my October shops this week.
Not booking or scheduling them.

Only booking in advance is for triple A players.
This is the Major Leagues now!

If it's an October shop done in September isn't that really a September shop? lol

That's what I said but the client insists this isn't the case and it counts as October.

I need to start thinking like you. Sometimes, I end up booking as far ahead as a month. I end up picking a random date I can most likely complete the assignment and then stack additional assignments around that area (or along the way) as the date draws near. Sometimes I end up requesting a reschedule to fit my schedule, so I'm surprised some of the MSC's I've rescheduled on haven't gotten tired of me yet.

Shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado. 33 year old male and willing to travel!
Tarantado, some of my shops, I take as soon as they become available, because I track that there are other shoppers here for that company. Some, I wait until they're bonused because I track that there are no other shoppers for that company here.

And some, it depends on the type of shop. I regularly see the grocery shops in town snatched up for $10/$10. I don't bother with those. I track the ones just on the outskirts of town, that no one will take. There's four of them, but because of no traffic, the travel time between them is faster than if I were to take the ones in town, which are in congested areas. I wait until they go to $30/$10 and take them. I have four little areas like this that I follow.

Then there are some that I take as a favor. There's a novelty gift shop that only pays $7 and reimburses $5, and I take it because 1) Where else can I get a travel mug that says "Coffee makes me poop" and 2) Because they're a huge scheduling company with many different projects. This particular one has a tiny bonus pool, but some of the others are very generous. So, I'll take that shop for a scheduler, for base pay of $7/$5, to help him out,...and then later on a different project, they return the favor.

Eventually you build your own little delicate balancing act.

Looks like I'll be doing at least one other shop....had someone contact me about a restaurant shop in the suburbs....so might try and get a few more out of Saturday....

Silver certified (since 2009) and willing to do shops all around the greater Chicago, NW Indiana, and Southern Wisconsin areas (including airports!.
Hello-I'm in Wichita Falls TX, and suddenly the company I used for grocery shops doesn't seem to offer them anymore (they changed ownership recently).

Would you mind me asking what company you use for your grocery shops?

Thank you!

Shannon
I only shop part time. I do not shop cell phone, cars, fast food and any shop that does not have a bonus, unless the pay is good. There are lots of shops available in my area. Lots of car shops, I won't shop unless I get at least $50. Lots of banks near me, mostly bonused. I will shop a few restaurants during the month. Most of the shops lately are cell phone, car, and fast food. It appears that they are trying to catch up.

Will someone please correct me. Is the word bonused spelt wrong? Is there such a word? I can't find it in my spell corrector and it always is underlined here.

Shopping in New England. Lots of shops in Boston.
I have about $300 worth of shops scheduled for the first week of October, plus 4 high end hotel shops as yet to have dates locked in. September bonuses are crazy! End of Quarter madness, I guess.

shopper8, just because a word isn't in the online dictionary, doesn't mean it is misspelled; it just means it is not in the online dictionary. On the other hand, perhaps shoppers' use of the word "bonused" as an adjective, may only make sense in our mystery shopping world. In this case, I would spell it "bonused". smiling smiley

Kind of like "bussed". Spell Check doesn't like that word. TomAto, tomahto, spelt, spelled....

I swear there was nothing on my calendar at the beginning of last week. As of today, I'm juggling my calendar like a __________ _________ ________. (It's "Mad Libs" times, folks. Insert your funniest, favorite comparative expression.)

Hubby hasn't worked since April. He isn't being hired anywhere.. rare c/b's.. he is in a deep, severe depression and won't DO ANYTHING but play stupid computer games. Due to a court issue, no unemployment either.

I ms, but I also volunteer twice a wk. I have to pick up ds frm school, or on drama nights, anywhere from 6-8pm... I shop, cook, clean, garden, can, etc............and he sits doing crapola.

September sucks.. Now I think we're going to lose our house.
amberngriffinco - I was unemployed for a year and know what your husband is feeling. I am sorry to hear what you both are going through and want to let you know that I'm rooting for you. Take care of yourself and if you can, ask for help for your husband to deal with the depression. And please ask for help for yourself from a friend or family member that can help with some of the things you are doing. There are good people out there who want to and can help.

Happily shopping Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts and Connecticut
"Bonused" apparently exists as a word only in the world of mystery shopping. A check of several online dictionaries doesn't bring it up.
