How do you stay at 5 Guys for 15 minutes for online shop?

It's an online shop, but per instructions you're supposed to spend 15 minutes there.
Any suggestions on how to do this without screaming "I'm the mystery shopper"?!

Nothing unusual about dining in after ordering on line. You are just avoiding the wait.
Look closely at the instructions, I got one that said I did not have to wait 15 minutes or eat in so I checked the bathroom and left. When doing the times on the report it asked why I did not stay there for 15 minutes, I quoted the instructions that I saved. I got paid for the shop.
I have done the online shop. The least favorite of mine. You have to order online and the wait the time you said you wanted it ready. My guidelines always say you don't need to eat there. (perhaps there are different ones) but you do need to check the restroom, cleanliness, if you see a manager and get a description of the employee who handed you the order. smiling smiley
I always sip on the fresh brewed iced tea and get a refill before I leave.

15 minutes there is never a problem. I average 25 minutes without even trying.

The instructions state that in order to accept the assignment "I agree to spend at least 15 minutes inside the store during my shop as my report will be invalidated if I spend less time in the restaurant."

Do all the Five Guys online shops state this before you can accept it, but then the CPI states you DON'T have to stay 15 minutes?
I'll have to review the last online shop I did for Five Guys. I know the guidelines vary a little with online and phone shops. I did a phone shop last night and the guideline allows me to choose whether or not I want to stay and eat at the restaurant. If I choose to eat at the restaurant, then I have to stay at least 15 minutes. If I choose to eat outside of the restaurant, I can leave after evaluating the restroom, dining area and exterior; no time requirements.

The actual shop guidelines overide the questions asked before you can accept a shop.

If it's a call in or a app shop, you do not need to sit in the dining room from the last shop guidelines I read.

I still eat in the dining room, as If I'm going to eat that many calories, I want them extra fresh and hot and a refill of that good fresh iced tea. Never been an issue to order a call in or app order and then dine there.

I wish ALL the Five Guys locations I shop had fresh brewed iced tea. Most just have that sub-par "tea" that comes probably comes from the same source the soda machine gets their corn syrup from.

I'm in the south.

If you serve iced tea that is from the syrup dispenser or instant, you will loose *ALOT* of customers.

Fresh lemon wedges that are on ice are also mandatory at the condiment station.

They will have a Bunn industrial tea brewing system.

You also must have sweet and unsweet tea.

I don't like that weird tasting 4-way tea machine. No matter which location or type of shop (I love tea) the tea does not taste right to me. Best sweet tea: Sonic (addicted) smiling smiley

Second best tasting sweet tea: Mine. I brew the tea the old fashioned way. I also like sun tea where you have the jug outside and the sun cooks it...
I had probably one of the first online shops and was asked why I did not stay 15 minutes and I said that since I had called ahead it would be suspicious to hang around so I did what I needed to do, watched them cook burgers, shake fries, work together and checked the bathroom. I was paid no issue. I usually spend at least 30 minutes when I dine in, I have no will power and eat the whole burger and all the fries unless they really dump a bunch in the bag.
The few times I've done the call in shops, the order hasn't been ready when they said it would be. I arrive at the location about 5 minutes early, wait for the order and usually I'm ready to go at the 15 minute mark. I generally have to wait 8-10 minutes after the arrival time for my order to be ready.

Ok, this is what the guidelines state for my online shop:

"You may eat your meal inside the restaurant, but it is not required. If you eat at the restaurant, stay for at least 15 minutes after receiving your order....
If you don't eat at the restaurant, you need to try at least some of your entrée/fries as soon as you leave the restaurant."

I am interpreting this to mean that I DO NOT have to stay 15 minutes, since I won't be eating there, right?
Phoebe70 – Correct. Just address your shop in the report as such, and you'll be fine.

For example, a FLAG in the report comes up asking why you didn't stay at least 15 minutes. Just state you did not eat at the restaurant.

Read through the guideline and CPI, it definitely gives you an option to do either.

The same question had me scratching my head as well....I refrain from accepting the online shops for that reason.

The online shops are better to experiment with crazy special orders, as you don't have to interact with the cashier to request that Grilled cheese with extra patty, extra grilled onion and fried mushrooms. The app allows you every possible special order by just tapping it in.
The guidelines did change recently. Originally you had to stay so I just ate there. Just read your guidelines and make your actions look normal.
