What do you all think about a shop that has been sitting on the board for a month and it pays $35.00 but no one will take it?

Do you think ten foot pole or do you think opportunity?

Ten-foot pole, if it's the credit check cell phone shops.

Ten foot pole. Especially if you are referring to the shop that requires you to let the store run your credit.

they are lying on those shops. They are saying it is
a "light" check. First there is no such thing as a light
check. There are only two types. Soft inquires and hard
inquries. Hard show up on your report for 18 months 2 years
and can be seen by anyone and affect your score. Soft inquires
can only be seen by you and don't count against you. These are
generally unsolicited offers you get in the mail for cards or when
you check your own credit. Cell phone checks are hard inquires.
Shame on rsg for lying.

Sometimes it is just the location, other times there are shoppers who have already been to the same location within ___ amount of days and cannot re-shop it (unless MSC becomes incredibly desperate). I always ask to see the questionnaire to be filled out first if it is a shop I am not familiar with.

Are these about the credit check shops or is this a general inquiry about any shop? Ditto on everyone else who said 10' pole if it is the credit check shop.. every time there is a hard inquiry on your credit bureau, it stays for a long time. Much longer than two years here in Canada. More like seven..... Protect your credit score, don't accept if you aren't in the market to actually buy a phone during the shop.

That's why I won't do those types of shops. No thanks. Not worth it.
