Walmart and target

Hello,
Does anyone out there who contracts Walmart,Target and shopko? Thank you for any info.

. I've been shopping for awhile now and I've never seen who (if anyone) does them. People in my area LOVE discount stores so if they are shopped, they are getting scooped up before I even know they are in existance.

My understanding over the years was that Walmart does not have shops done except in California, where apparently they contract themselves with shoppers. I have never seen nor heard of Target shopping themselves and I never heard of shopko.

On the other hand, different companies at different times have shops that are performed INSIDE Walmart or Target locations. These may be for the coffee shop or the fast food or for credit card applications, etc. The client in these cases is NOT Walmart or Target but rather a service or client with a location in store.

Wow, doing Walmart of Target would be perfect!

Especially if they had a good reimbursement!

Target was shopped by a major company for quite sometime. The job gave the shopper a gift card in the amount of sometimes as high as 80.00. The report had less than ten questions. I really miss those jobs. ;-(

Yes, I remember those shops well. The client, however, was not Target but the cc company.

I have done shops at Walmart, but they were competitive shops for another vendor that was checking out the CSR's at various places around town.

Tha Target shops I used to do were some of the CC shops and sign compliance shops..I also did some shops there where you had act confused and hoped one of the employes came and asked you if you needed help..They had to ask using a certain phrase..If they did they were rewarded with a prize...If no one helped you had to notify managment that you were not helped....These paid well..but were also used as teases to get you to do other low paying shops...

I would call them less 'teases' than 'bribes'. I always wondered if the client knew that their shops were being used that way.

You are right, I used to do several types of Target shops that paid well and were quite simple! Another that with the economy has gone by the boards! Along with my casino, and alas easy and alot of Walgreens! I've taken up doing more online stuff now!

Are you sure this is a real shop and not a scam? If you have not been shopping for the company that set this up for you for a long time, I would not trust that is is real. Scams involving mystery shopping Walmart run rampant. Beware and check it out well before going and spending that money.

Yes, my concern as well. If there is a Western Union section to your work where you wire away a portion of the check sent to you up front, it definitely is a scam and the check you deposited to your bank will bounce.

To Talease $100 to keep is great. All of the Walmart shops that I have seen only offer $5.00 fee and maybe $1.00 reimbursement which is a waste. Proably depends on the area and state.

Which is why it is probably not a real shop. It smells scam.

i've never seen any walmart shops but one companie would have me do video audits inside walmart itself..
Wow.. $80 for a target shop! Damn.. I hate living in this horrible economy! I'm tired of being paid peanuts..
Reminds me of a short animated film I had to audit one time. It was made in the 1930s and it was entitled. "working for peanuts", I think disney did it, or one of the famous cartoonists.

Look it up on google. it was a cute film, but it reminds me of what we are getting paid nowadays.. Remember the 30s was the depression too..

STILL think we are not in a Depression, economy wise? I would say we are!

Closest thing to a depression was in the early 80's when I bought my first new car at 22.5% interest. Praise God every day that things aren't that bad yet. But I got a 16.7% raise that year too. I didn't get laid off like so many are here today. KY has Ford and Toyota plants. Can anyone say Toyota and layoffs in the same breath? Praying that they don't start slashing like Ford.

Back on topic....

I did a shop regarding telephones inside of a Walmart. It took forever to get service from a person who didn't work for the telephone place but rather a Walmart employee. No more of those for me!

My last shop at a Walmart was not for Walmart themselves, but to shop for a particular cellular company. My instructions were to stand around the kiosk and wait to be assisted. Under no cirucumstances was I to engage tha associate. I waited for the required 25 minutes with associates ignoring me. I reached behind the counter and grabbed a brochure. Went home and reporting took less than two minutes because nothing happened. Two weeks later I was paid $18.00. Still not sure if it was worth being ignored for that long....

lol I guess getting paid to stand around in a Walmart store in the electroics department was better than sticking the extra stuff that seems to wander into my cart that seems to increase in direct proportion to the amount of time I spend inside Walmart. lol

I saw a WM shop. Wasnt that great. Less than $10.
And, really, do you expect WM to pay a lot, when they wont even pay the toddlers they use in 3rd world countries a buck a day, so they can have running water? Im surprised they offered over $5 a shop. lol

This is a shopper forum, not a soapbox. There are plenty of pros and cons to Walmart or any other company.

Haha. Actually, it was simply an observation. Personally, I like WM and for the most part Target (altho, Target doesn't always make sense. Ie, they charge different prices on the same DVD titles, but, not necessarily based on format. Sometimes a Fullscreen format is a $5 higher than widescreen and sometimes widescreen is $5 higher than full. Go figure).

Ok i need to get on with this company....like today!

If you like Walmart you'll love working with the schedulers at Certified. Only do not mess up not one bit.

I actually do like Walmart. I shop the SuperWalmart and get my groceries and everything in one trip, except the produce. I usually hit Whole Foods, Newflower Market, or Sprouts for the produce. I do the Whole Foods on a shop; would love to see Newflower or Sprouts shopped. Hope I see a shop for Walmart. Since I shop there anyway, I would take one.

I wish I could find Starbucks Shops

I don't think they are being shopped right now. I used to see them - there is Starbucks in the Randall's where I shop - but I'm not a coffee person so I never took them. Haven't seen them in awhile. I know several posters here were taking Starbucks shops at one time.

I'm reasonably sure that the Starbucks are gone due to the economy and some overgrowth problems with the company. Many locations have been closed and my understanding is that they have lost a fair amount of their mystique now that the equipment is automated and not the 'skill of the barista'. Certainly when I drive by the few still in my area the crowds of yore are gone. Never was a big fan myself.
