Hows everyone's October going?

Through tomorrow 50 shops, 7 more lined up and looking for more for the rest of the month. This of course is besides turtoring 10 kiddos weekly (some two to 4 times per week). Booked during the week with them from 3:45 to 8:30 every evening.

I'm booked through the end of November but I am taking the whole week of Thanksgiving off completely.

My October was going great all the way up until today. I took off work early to do a Fast Casual shop, a treat shop, and then an apartment shop. Started feeling ill during my walk-through and up came my Five Guys hot dog, right in the sink of the model kitchen. She didn't even miss a beat and started talking about the industrial grade garbage disposal. Then demonstrated it. Which had me fighting to not vomit a second time.

I don't even like hot dogs.

BBird,

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
I hope that does not make you memorable.

October has turned into a big month for my shamanic work. I have had to slow my roll with the mystery shopping this month.
I've done a few auto shops, a couple bank shops, and some pet store shops so I could pick up free food for my kitty. smiling smiley
However I noticed that I'm getting a lot of emails for shops in my area with bonuses, despite it being only halfway through the month.
I guess I'm not the only shopper in Philly taking it easy this month!
B Bird--that is one of the funniest MS stories I've heard. I'm with Wales- hopefully you didn't have video rolling. Hello video editor? Ummm... I have a job for you.
You guys are all so inspiring! This is definitely my busiest month yet (in 18 months of shopping). About 20 shops by the end of the month. A good variety, ranging from family fun to date night to beauty products to clothes shopping. And an oil change just to bring me back to reality!
It was quiet, then busy and now almost too quiet.

Next month looks promising though. smiling smiley
Wow, I feel like a slacker compared to some of you. I'll have about 30 shops done by month end, but 18 of those were done across two days. The other 29 days have been pretty sparse. Should be the best month for my bank account, though...my big August and September shops are finally being paid this month. That'll make my wife happy!
I've got a route of 26 bank shops right now scheduled for mid-November, and I anticipate that route to grow to 35-40 by the end of this month [yes, the scheduler loves me because I'm picking up a lot of the shops that weren't done earlier in the year]. I should be able to add 4-6 BMW and an equal number of Toyota shops. I might get an additional 10-15 credit union shops added to that route...and all that is just in one week.

As far as October, I've only had about 35 shops this month.

I'm on track for October to be my third highest month this year. Last month was a bit dismal, glad that it has picked up.
Just received a $40 bonus on a $5 shop.

Earlier this morning, I received a phone call with a $20 bonus on another shop that has a $5 shop fee, but a $30 reimbursement. I rarely get bonuses from this company, but they have regularly gone out of their way to give me a little route of these shops.

Also received a call from a scheduler asking to do a dinner and a movie shop this weekend. Both shops each have a bonus ($20 and $15) but she's offering to throw in another $20 if I take both.

One is a location which I know was shopped pretty recently (My husband did it) so I'm not understanding the high bonus on it, but I'm not complaining!!

October has been an awesome month for bonuses! Even with feeling ill pretty much this whole month, I've made my monthly goal, caught up from last month (Didn't meet my goal last month) and am 1/4 of the way towards next month's goal!

Shop swag-wise, this month hasn't been bad at all, considering I'd planned to take less reimbursement shops than normal, but ultimately couldn't resist some when they reached a decent bonus. Found a handheld Shark vaccuum cleaner on a Goodwill shop for $4, new in box, and my car is MUCH happier for it! Kids have six new pairs of shoes, I scored some awesome wool slippers, two baskets of bath supplies, clearanced jogging tights, and I'm stocked on prenatals for the next few months. Dogs scored some bison steaks, new collars, and a cargo liner for the SUV (clearanced from $60 to $11) and, one of my favorite swags for the month, I found a new (to me) frame shop, and will be reimbursed for the beautiful, double-framed shadow box that I had made, and will be filling with saved childhood mementos and photos and gifting to my sister for Christmas. Some of the items have already been mounted in it, and the framer took an additional hour educating me on how to mount the rest, and invited me to return if I needed help, free of charge!

The best bonus this month though, has been taking a learning center shop as a favor to my scheduler. I was so impressed with this center and the staff and children I interacted with there, that I returned two days later and enrolled my daughter. She's now finished her first week there and I've already noticed a huge improvement in her. An unexpected bonus has been that she's absolutely exhausted at night from her activity-filled days there, that she's going to bed early without fussing.

Plan the work. Work the plan.
This month has been decent even with the week I took off to vacation in Orlando. The best shop of all, taking my 7 yr old grandson to Texas Roadhouse. He was so in awe that he was allowed to throw peanut shells on the floor and there were a ton of dead animals hung on the wall that he would randomly yell "This place is awesome!" Throughout the shop. Gonna definately need to extend the rotation on that location...
It started slow for me but now it is picking up. I've lined up 2 shops for today, 2 for tomorrow, 4 on Saturday in Princeton while I'm there to get my hair done, 3 on Sunday and haven't even looked at next week yet. LOL

All this is around my full time job smiling smiley
I have had a busy month. It will be around 900 for the month. I had to step it up a little because I lost some steady income I had not anticipated losing until two more years. Keeps me in shape, I just hate never having any down time.
