papa john's shops

Disregard my previous message. I just spoke to the scheduler and both pizzas can be ordered at the same time and the same receipt can be used for both reports. Yea!

I also did this same shop, two pizzas in one. If it's for a *very smart* company than you can do both in one call. My second report for the slice and dice didn't have comments for the phone call portion. But always check with your scheduler. When in doubt, do it the long way.
Any tips for getting that perfect clean cut when I have to do the slice and dice one? Would it help to turn the slice over and cut from the crust side down?
You can not turn the slice upside down. The trick is to do as they say. Use a brand-new portion of a box cutter blade. I buy the disposable utility knives in the hardware store - the kind where you can snap off a piece of the blade to get a fresh tip. I pay $0.99 and it last for many pizzas. If you are lucky, you can wash it off and dry it well and it won't rust and maybe you can use the same tip /edge for two jobs.

If you turn it over, the topping are going to fall off and at minimum get squooshed. Then when you put the two "top" sides together, it isn't going to work right. I always starts cutting at the crust end.

I also did both shops at the same time on the same call. I wrote the same thing for both call sections, and of course for the pickup. I submitted the same receipt (there was only one, of course) for both. The only tricky part is that I didn't know the individual prices for each pizza, but I just expaloined that. The scheduler told me in advance that one receipt was enough, and it was.

I do four or five of these shops a month (2 locations near my house--one delivery and one carry out) for the same MSC. Usually for the 'standard' fee. Yes, I know I'm a softy, but this company was the first I registered with and they gave me jobs when I had no experience. All things being equal I try to help them out of loyalty.

Last week I got an email from one of the schedulers asking if I could do the carry out store. I emailed back and said that since I was doing the delivery store that week I would prefer not to...could I push it off until this week? There was no bonus offered, and I never heard back.

Yesterday I had date time with Hubby and didn't check my phone for a couple of hours. When I did there was a desperate email from the scheduler offering a $30 bonus for anyone who could complete the shop this weekend. Of course it was gone by time I responded. So much for loyalty!

I have done many of these shops. The only one you have to cut and sit on edge is the cheese only pizza. My technique is to make sure the pizza is partially cooled first. Flip over the 4 pieces and take that photo. Then with a sharp utility knife while the piece is upside down, cut it in half the long way. You would think it would squish but it doesn't with a sharp blade. I now have a utility knife dedicated to this shop. However, do NOT use a dull utility knife. It really gives bad cuts.

I haven't tried your cutting technique. I have always put it right-side up again and then cut. I can see advantages to your technique, so I will try it next time (if there is a next time).
