How to compress photos?

What is the easiest, fastest way to compress a lot of photo files? I don't have any special photo editing software. I couldn't figure out on my camera how to make photos lower quality for a smaller file size. The MSC I need to submit pics to won't take them in their current file size.

I use Irfanview. You can reduce the quality (size - eg kb, mb) while saving and leave the size (how big it is).

I use Irfanview also. The best tool I've even used. It takes me about 30 seconds (or less) to resize 60+ photos. I love that program and you will too. I use the batch conversion in that program.
Whew, thanks guys! I had to resize about 10 pics the other day and it took forever. Today I have 124. This is a lifesaver!
I highly recommend Irfanview. When I do a few gas stations, I have about 200 pictures in total. It does not take long to resize them. Try it. You'll love it. smiling smiley
If you can find the settings on your camera look for the one that is 2m. That should get the pics where you want them from the get go

PixResizer - It's free, it does them in batches, it does them fast. It doesn't do much else.
Irfanview is a lifesaver. You can also create a process in Adobe Photoshop to do it automatically but that recommendation is for folks who use it on a regular basis.
