They weren't serious. They posted immediately after clearly stating they were joking. Joking around has been a big part of all the threads I enjoy here.

My apologies. I must have slid past that one, or didn't realize it was the same poster. I'm relieved because I was shocked to think someone would be that callous. I'm editing my other posts.

In other forums I'm on, they implemented a rule to green font all sarcastic responses. Maybe this forum should implement a similar kind of system to avoid misunderstandings like this. Just a thought.

If I knew how to smiley face or green font I would have. I just assumed it was such an over the top comment that it couldnt be anything but a joke.

LOL. To make a smiley face you type a colon : and a parenthesis ). To make a frown you use the other parenthesis (.

No space between them.

Sorry I misunderstood your intentions. I had a flashback to a troll who was very insulting here to a long-time shopper who mentioned she had once forgotten to do a shop and told how she worked it out with the scheduler. He said he (a newbie) had never forgotten a shop and that he thought it was the epitome of irresponsibility to do so. Your comment was similar to his and I was stunned anyone would say such a thing. Totally missed your "just kidding" post. I was only half-awake when I was reading and must have just scrolled on past, or thought it was someone else commenting about something else.

I just finished my first shop for a new company and missed two items, one of which was that I failed to keep my itemized receipt. It was clearly in the guidelines, so I threw myself on the mercy of the court. The editor said that the rest of my report was so well done and written that I was given a freebie on this assignment.

I'm still learning lessons every day.
