Please tell me I am not the only one...overspending

I went and did an Aveda shop tonight...$25 reimbursement, no fee...ok I know...but a girl likes her fancy things! Yeah...I walked out spending $82! DANG IT!

I have done this before with a NARS shop...$120 in makeup...EEK!

It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does I want to kick myself...but the stuff is just so darn great!

Looks like I am going to be picking up more shops to help compensate for my overspend....

Please tell me I am not the only one that has done this!

I did it today in a Nars shop, sometime I think that it's a set up lol!

There's a reason why my husband peeks in the garage after I return home from a new car shop. smiling smiley

I've done it too and I would like it at like you got a $25 discount which isn't too shabby!
mysteryshoppinggurl, I LOVE to collect blogs to read. Added yours to my reader just now :-)

Whole Foods is where I always spend more than I earn and as for the mattress shops - after shopping then for a number of years I just spent $1500 for a new mattress and ergo system plus another $1500 to get the furniture to go with it. I did manage to get 3 $15 shops to go with the mattress purchase so the mattress system ONLY cost me $1455. LOL

But I gotta tell you I love that new bed! My old mattress was 20 years old. And at the time I had just finished radiation and was dealing with fatigue issues so I gave it a good workout.
Any sort of cosmetic shop/beauty shop is my complete weakness.

At least I have been good when it comes to the H&M shop...i end up usually just getting a pair of sun glasses or accessory.

Grocery store shops, I haven't had a problem with overspending for them...because I look at it like I am going to be shopping for my groceries anyway and this is just a really delayed and nice discount...I go into those stores knowing i am going to.

Pottery Barn and William Sonoma have been a struggle to not upgrade and get something outside of their reimbursement limit.

I have a no fee, $50 UGGS reimbursment coming up.....hope I can limit myself to socks!!! Pray for me!

Shopping Central Jersey Shoreline. WHAT? I'm an adult?! When did this happen?! How do I make it stop?!
Just wondering how many pairs of socks (they do come in pairs at UGGS, right?) does $50.00 buy? One? Two? Ten? smiling smiley

And she gave me a bag full of samples signed me up to have a make over done and promised me a gift bag when I come. I was wondering if she figured out that I was a shopper but she was so good that it didn't bother me.

I was very naughty with this issue on a couple of makeup shops and a "fair trade handicraft" store recently so I have 11 gas station audits scheduled to make up for it. Some of the places are so gross there is no WAY I would put any snack food bought there in my mouth so I get away with a $0.25 pack of gum I chuck and $5 free gas plus fees. Maybe I will be able to trust myself again in November.
I had one of those plumbers I was shopping come to my house. The shop paid $30 and the estimate was reimbursed at $56. He talked me into the repair (which was really needed anyway) and it cost $1200. And the scheduler told me I wouldn't get the $56 reimbursed, though it was OK to have the repair done. I was bummed, but then saw they did give it back, which was great because it was SOMETHING.

BTW, love your blog, I just bookmarked it! I'll have to try one of those Aveda shops as well.
OMG the NARS shops... LOVVEEEE them. I tend to not be able to afford them in the first place so rather than buying and voer-spending.. I usualyl just end up feeling really bad that just about everytime.. the BA does an awesome job and I buy nothing. Then I feel like as a$$.Once I got a reimbursement shop for around $100 and that was amazing.
The trick is to make more money than you spend winking smiley

So for that sexy $200 Guess winter coat, I audited a series of stores in a mall to pay for it (same day). I didn't feel it at all. My husband seems to think I spent too much but the truth is, I have more luxury and more money tongue sticking out smiley

I do try to make it up as well and keep a obsessive spread sheet showing my ROI (excluding gas, etc..), but oh man...sometimes they get me! I am always looking at my spreadsheet to see where I am sitting for the month and how it compares to other months. But sometimes I overspend and that is a challenge...thus why i have a daunting day of shops ahead of me this weekend to help compensate.

It just gets so hard when the makeup looks so good and you look so pretty!

I spent about $160 for a $25 reimbursement vitamin shop last week. I don't feel too bad, because it's stuff I needed to reload on, anyway. It's the ignoring the recent requests to do that shop that burn, but that shop has a six-month rotation, anyway.
The NARS shops get me too. I love all of it! Yesterday, I did a make up shop (not NARS) and was invited to return on Wednesday for a facial and makeover event at Nordstrom. All free and I accepted her offer.

I do it every month at location that I shop anyway. I looked at it as a discount and earn rewards were allowed.
