Cheap Orange Vest

Hey there shoppers. I need an orange vest for a gas station shop and cannot find a cheap one. Anyone know where I can get one for under $5? Thanks in advance.

Oh, I didn't think of the dollar stores. Will check them out. Thanks!
Just remember, you tend to get what you pay for. My safety vest [green] I got at Lowe's Hardware about 2 years ago and it's survived a multitude of gas station shops and hot summer days in the trunk of my car. IIRC it was $12.

If you do the Cert training offered by most fire depts they will give you a nice vest for free plus you will know exactly what to do in case of a fire or emergency in your neighborhood and may actually get called to help out.
I have one I picked up at Walmart that's orange mesh, feels like nylon, about $3.95. It's much smaller coverage than the larger ones but it does the job and it's great in the summer. I have the heavier nylon ones with the safety stripes in lime and orange and they're big enough to go over heavier clothes. Also the bigger ones will show up better at night and I use them for night shops even in the summer time. I've had good luck picking up a couple of heavy duty orange safety coats at Goodwill and I don't have to wear a vest with them, also I've found some puffy fluorescent vests at Goodwill that are great in the winter when it's brisk but not cold enough for a coat. I suggest cruising Goodwills and thrift shops for entertainment and great buys.

If you look hard enough, you can do a shop at goodwill. The ones 120 miles down the Expressway are shopped all the time, but none in my neck of the woods. I might tell my wife about the goodwill shops. Hoping she doesn't think 200 mile round trip is doable for what little you get back.
OOOHHHH, I'm a thrift store junky and would LOVE to do a Goodwill! I haven't seen the ones in this area pop up on any boards, though.

I got mine at the uniform shop for $45 but it has breakaways at each and is a full vest with radio pockets on inside and outside. I also picked up a nice lime green windreaker with safety stripes at qmuniforms.com for $15. I have had both for a couple years and they are great. I put my camera in the radio pocket when doing Maritz shops.
like a safety vest? I got one at a dollar store.....

also check on free cycle, maybe someone will give you one
I stole mine from a grocery store. It was lying in a shopping cart in the parking lot.
Nice.

The harder I work, the luckier I get.
It sounds like you may have "stolen" the vest of the 'cart corraler', Canuck.

I agree Stilllearning...I wouldn't have stooped that low.

I can see the newspaper headlines now, "Cart Corraler Hit By Vehicle in Parking Lot Claims His Safety Vest Was Stolen!".

Hopefully, he's out of the hospital and didn't get fired.

Stilllearning, even though the headline is in jest, I've seen some mighty close calls even when they're wearing the safety vest. And, depending on which company, the cart corraler may have lost his job for having the vest lost, or in this case stolen. I know for a fact it happened at a Kmart in my home town. Wouldn't surprise me if WalMart was similar.

Or the store may have taken that vest out of his paycheck for the loss. They earn little enough as it is.
