November starting slow and low...

Anyone else seeing that the shops started late and are not paying that high as of yet. I am only at my half way point (monetary) for the month and the shops are trickling in. Last month there was so many shops by this time. Any thoughts?

Must be a location thing. It seems like everything is at a normal pace here. You should still be able to see bonuses earlier than normal because everyone will try to get things done prior to Thanksgiving week. One project of mine would normally be due 11/27 and it was pushed up to 11/24.

I've noticed over the years that sometimes shoppers will complain that the month is really slow and at the same time other shoppers say its been there best month in years. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it.
No rhyme, but I've got a reason. I've got more highly bonused end-of-quarter and end-of-month shops already lined up for next week that I'll have my goal for November met before the end of the first week.
I think location has a lot to do with it. I think you get more money if you're in an area where the shoppers (if any) refuse to shop because of distance etc.

I drive many miles to do the shops no one else wants to do. I get more money and I am happy. It makes up for a lousy few weeks of low fees and that.
I've noticed that the month after a really good month starts off slow. I think it has to do with rotation in some cases. After selecting locations the previous month, you may not be eligible for them this month. Things should pick up. I've got a boatload of shops for early November. I was slow last month due to being out of state for several weeks and just being picky. There are so many "new and different" projects I've picked up, that I'm getting that nervous feeling like a newbie...always feel that way about a new to me project or shop.

I've got 7 gas station audits the first week of the month, then a vacant second week. The third week I have a route that's about 900 miles [all in my home state]. 36 banks, 1 car dealer, 3 new home, 1 doctor...and still growing.

Make that 5 new home...I just added 2 in the last hour.

Bill, there is a general concensus that we avoid politics altogether on the forums. We have discussed this about once a year in the General Chat area and every year we end up with the same consensus. There is another shopper forum where political duscussion is common and, unfortunately, has led to many very nasty interchanges. Many of us are here, rather than there so that we can chat about MS in a politics-free zone.

You make many valuable contributions here, so I sincerely hope that you will not depart for the other forum.

BTW, my November will be slower by choice after a record-breaking, and exhausting, October.

For November, I have scheduler's promises, but no firm dates yet, for Mortgage Shops, Airport Circuit Audits, and several full day-hourly paid- Hospital Audits. If these are scheduled and I pick up my grocery food shops, I will have a great month. I did two lucrative projects today and made a third of my $$$ goal for the month. I should have another fantastic month if everything pans out.

I can't schedule way in advance. I notice all the MSC companies want their jobs performed during the first 10 days of the month or so. How to cram your schedule into that? I could've scheduled so many jobs but didn't due to my schedule not allowing it. The weekends are too short!
Sending hugs, Bill!

I started off with a bang but it has been slowing down for me since. That said, I did get a shop I wanted with a nice reimbursement for something I wanted anyway , so I'm happy about that. I was hoping to get a slew of blue bank shops and applied for all offered in Tempe, AZ, right on the border of Phoenix but was only scheduled for one. I also have two low paying but yet fully reimbursed sandwich shops this week. Other than that, the following week I will be on vacation in Salt Lake City and will not be picking up any shops due to this and I don't know what the rest of my November after that is going to look like with the holidays and all.

I remember starting off this year with less than a bang so I'm hoping it picks up again pretty quick but I guess I'll just have to see.
Next weekend, I have one, serious route of end-quarter, bonused shops. There are fewer shops posted for this month in my area, but that is fine, because the bonused route will make up for the month of the weekends I'll spend with family instead.
It seems to me that this month they're releasing things slowly and only going out a few days or a week. I'm going out of town for 5 days starting next Thursday, and I'm already completely booked up for Monday-Wednesday. I keep getting a million emails but virtually EVERYTHING needs to be done by the 6th. I want to start booking the following weeks but so far I just have a couple of things and nothing else is shaking loose.
Slow in south Texas. Hoping it picks up soon. Someone mentioned that bonuses will show up sooner due to Thanksgiving. I remember that happened the last few years. Since the 1st was on Saturday it is possible companies will post more this week.
That's why they call November "Slow-vember" smiling smiley

All kidding aside, my Calendar is jammed for 3 weeks, and hopefully add more as the weeks progress...
My November is about 1/2 full now but I am hoping for some more end of the month stuff. This month has been a lot slower for me than September or October but it is only the 3rd. If I remember correctly from last year it was about the same but in Jan. things really picked up.
I have a lot scheduled for this month already. Things look pretty standard here this month.
Things are going pretty slow for me this month too. October was my best month yet, so I suppose I can't really complain too much...yet. Hopefully things pick up a little more in a couple weeks.

Free food=best food!
I have been taking it easy and still have done a decent amount of shopping this month. But could be jammed if I wanted to.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
I found last year that November is not like the Summer months for sure. I am finding this year though that I can't keep up with November... Bring it on!

Silver Certified ~ Shopping all of Toronto and beyond
I had more scheduled early than ever, but haven't seen much yet for after Nov 16th. I have 19 shops scheduled/completed through Nov 16th which is a lot for me - one grocery, two fast casual, one fast food, two reimbursement only dinner shops, seven phone shops, five gas station and a car wash. Totally missed out on a $50 reimbursement retail shop while I was dithering, but live and learn.

The Republicans did win back the Senate on Tuesday but nothing really changes. Obama still has veto-power and executive privilege and the Republicans don't have enough senators to override a veto (or a filibuster, for that matter) so nothing is really going to change until after 2016. The Republicans have too many chiefs and not enough Indians.
