Keep in mind that Zone 1 is the closest zip codes to the PO you are shopping. If you are not shopping the PO whose zip code is where you get your mail, you can mail to yourself. If they try to talk you out of Priority because "it will get there tomorrow anyway" just tell them you must have the tracking and insurance so you need Priority. (Likely they won't try to talk you out of it, but have your answer ready just in case.)
Time to build a bigger bridge.

I sent you a PM but I am not sure it went through. I am in Wisconsin zip code 53215. It is very possible we are within zone 1-4 for the postal shops. I do several a month and am looking for a shipping buddy myself. PM me if you can, it seems like that system is a little cranky tonight.

What kind of items do you all mail to yourselves or buddies?
I'm doing scenario B, mailing from the city where I work, which is 17 miles from the town I live in, making it zone 1. You can check the zones on the usps website. I'll be mailing myself one of my travel books.
I am mailing my daughter the books I have collected for my grandaughter. I do book reveiws and have been reveiwing toddler books so I have something to give her. When I run out of those I will buy cake mixes on my Save A Lot shops and send them to her.
