Geo-located Photos

I have to do a shop tomorrow that requires a geo-located photo. Does anyone have a recommendation for an app for the iPhone that I can do this with? I'm so confused. Does the location show up as a stamp on the actual photo that I take? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Yes, they are using a program such as Geosetter for Windows (Freeware!) No crapware in the installer either.

You should install it and view your own photo's and see how much data is in them. You'd be shocked to learn how much information is in the "meta data" in a photo. This program can pull the EXTENDED private meta data formats for high end camera's. .007 would see some lens info and stuff he probably didnt know was there for his pro camera's.

Geosetter is the *BEST* meta data photo viewer. It even uses Goggle maps/streetview to really make it shocking how easy it is to see *EXACTLY* where a photo is taken, and when, and what direction even!

if you want to avoid all that stuff bring the picture up on screen and use the windows snipping tool to create a jpg out of the picture. All gone nothing to see.

You can take it one step further and automate full geotagging removal for privacy for an entire directory or your entire hard drive of photo's with a Windows freeware tool such as:

in windows 8 if you right click photos than show properties
it will show you all the info on the photo. camera type, exposure,
location, flash on, etc etc

That's not limited to Win 8. With Win 7 it shows all the same information under details. It is also possible to remove some or all of them.

I actually enjoy having all the lens and exposure data available. It helps me make corrections when a picture doesn't turn out as expected.

I added an app to my phone that displays the timedate stamp and location on the pic. I am pretty sure the subject is here in the new shopper section
