I give it away all the time. If I'm in the city I give it to the first homeless person I see. They are always so happy to get it complete with a beverage!!!

O.o o.O

Happily shopping New England and beyond!!!!!

What wonderful and inspirational people we have here for passing along their meals to others, human or animal, in true need. Thank You. I am having a less than great day and you'all really gave me some hope and a lift. Thanks again!
I used to throw the food out but not now. I figured some animal will benefit from it. It's better than starving to death. Here where I live, there are a lot of wild dogs. People dump them off to fend for themselves. It's awful. I'll gladly give food to them when I can.
Last week I had to buy 8 corn dogs from a gas station - even the cats will not touch them - haha.
smiling smiley Gotta peel the batter off them Our cats view hotdogs as a gourmet treat. but then again, they were stray kittens in our yard, The original stray that we were feeding brought his mate here. Did introductions and everything. We would leave our back door open at night so they could wander in and out.

I had fallen asleep on the couch one night, and woke up to find the remains of a fast food burger and a mouse that Mama cat had found for "the kids" They had peeled the burger out and all that was left was the bun with its pickle slices.
I just lost a black cat so I like looking at your pic, OP.

I once did a shop in a mall and near the subway a young man had a sign that said, "Need money for food." I had two bags of high-end shop sandwich and I gave them to him. He was so happy and immediately opened one.
Oh yeah, I have given food away to homeless people. Thanks for the idea about our animal friends. smiling smiley
You did notice that the cat is sticking its tongue at you, right? smiling smiley I say that because I'm owned by two cats (don't tell them they're cats, though) and I'm sure that is the look they give me (or worse) when I have to bring them to the vet.

Just kidding....you probably snapped the picture mid-lick. And that was very nice of you to give the cat your burger. It breaks my heart when I see strays out in the cold like that.

Ya know how you're not supposed to stand out in the crowd. I kinda do it, every time. If I didn't it would be even more obvious.

That being said, I let loose with big issues concerning store cats. It's TX, we have store cats. They sort of hang out and beg for food. Not a huge deal, we feed them. The cats do take care of vermin.

One of my stores had at least 5 store cats and a soon too be Mommy cat. Mommy cat was covered in sores. I did mention it in my report. I felt guilty because she and her pals have been gone for quite a while. Guess who's back? Which cats were chosen? The mommie calico with the nasty sores was chosen. I wanted to slime this cat into a crate. She's now over the top pretty and healthy. And she has a pal!

This story is why I love mystery shopping. It's also the reason, I try to make a point on not carrying animal crates in the car.

My heart hurt 3 weeks ago. The chihuahua needed a good human. I didn't have a crate. He wasn't afraid to be fed, but he was scared to death of me trying to pet him.

Humans that cause reactions like that need me to give them grief, feed them my mothers meatloaf and hope...seriorously hope I can toss them over some massive razor wire I see on prisons.

He was injured. i still am kicking myself that I didn't find a crate for the guy.

Today, I saw the lady again with the "hungry need food" and today I gave her my French fries. I would have given her my hot dog but it was half eaten in the bag.

I first saw her Tuesday and gave her my bag of lunch. I smiled at her. I made eye contact. You could see the pain in her eyes, that she had to stand on the corner and ask for food with a sign.

After I handed her the food, I looked around but most drivers turned the other way when she walked by their cars..
