I have never had to ask if they sell flowers. They are easy and I shop there anyway. It is enlightening to see how many products are out of date.
I do them when I can because I shop there anyway. You need to report out of stock items, mine never has anything out of stock so that is a no brainer. You need to report any expired milk, bread, meat or problem produce. You also need to to ask help in finding something, ask the cashier a question and check the bathroom. The report is easy, but most of this MSCs reports are easy. Fees are low, but since I'm there anyway I view it as payment for doing the report, I don't think they have ever taken me more than 15 minutes.
Like others have said, I do most of my shopping at Aldi anyway, so I look at the reimbursement as adding to my weekly food budget.

I pick up many of these shops because I do my grocery shopping there. The pay is low but the report is fairly easy. The worst part is sometimes asking the silly question like "Are these products cheaper because they are close to their expiration date?". They need to work on the questions they require the shopper to ask.
I've been wanting to check out Aldi ever since they built one within walking distance of my house a few years ago. I don't know why I haven't gone in yet; creature of habit, I guess. I picked up a shop for the beginning of next month though because I know this MSC's reports are always easy. I get to check out the store, do my grocery shopping, and get paid for it: win, win, win. I'll report back if it was miserable or not tongue sticking out smiley
The report is easy, the question you have to ask changes. I use the reimbursement to buy things like paper towels and toilet paper because the Aldi's here has gross looking meat/produce.

It's a $5 reimbursement.
I love aldi's and had never actually gone to one before shopping them. The most difficult part for me (besides their huge lines) is getting the name of the associate. I never see name tags on them and always have to ask them, which makes me uncomfortable, but after doing so much mystery shopping, it's second nature.

They have the best cheese singles and mini bagels, and I love some of their produce, so it's worth it. the report is easy, IMO.
I shop at Aldi also, and consider the $9 (fee + reimbursement) as a discount on my groceries. I don't love everything at Aldi, but they usually have good deals on produce. The reports are pretty easy and straightforward. Check the dates on certain items, ask help to find an item, and ask a silly question. You have to stay in store for 20 minutes, though. Also, there is a question that varies by region of the country. I don't have the flower question either, for example.
I don't think you need to worry about getting employee names, except for the cashier and that name prints on the receipt. Otherwise, a description will do. The employees work harder than any other grocery store employees I've ever seen. Although, the off duty cop who works in one of my local stores spends the majority of his time standing near the registers reading his Bible (slightly incongruous sight.)

I bet they hate to hear that screeching buzzer calling them to open another register.
They do work hard, I wonder what they get paid an hour because ALL of the cashiers also have to stock the shelves between shifts at the front. They are always very busy too.

I do them whenever I can. Once you know the layout of the store (which rarely changes) you can do the out of stock without even thinking about it. Super easy report.
Boutique, in my area cashiers start at $13.00 an hour, and it looks like they earn EVERY penny of it! I've sen them stock the shelves and mop the floor. Probably also do a lot that's unseen, too.

I think they start around $15/hr. here. I enjoy trying the different German specialties and have thought of starting a blog about Aldi products. I especially like their peanuts, Havarti cheese, salad packages. Their produce is sold at amazingly low prices. Some of the bread is really good but watch the expiration dates. The seasonal brioche is yummy. I love Aldi.
ALDI?! I love Aldi! I agree the cashiers are the hardest working people around and they are so pleasant and super efficient. I love Aldi's business model. I definitely don't think their produce/meat looks gross- last week I picked up some grass fed beef there. It was delicious. Besides, the same family (Albrecht from Germany) owns Trader Joes. I think of Aldi as the working class Trader Joes. You rarely find them in upscale neighborhoods. It is a 4.5 mile round trip from my house to the nearest Aldi. I always walk there so I can indulge in their delicious Hazelnut Chocolate bars.

Man, I gotta find out which MSC does Aldi.
If it's any consolation, I just found the shops probably 2 months ago, and I've only seen 2 shops in that entire time.
These shops are awesome and the last time I went it was busy so both employees were on register and I didn't have to ask the floor person for silly directions or about expired items (which there weren't any). My most awesome find is that they sell some brand name items there. I must have looked like a loon filling my cart with box after box of Pop-Tarts, but for $1.49 per box, people can stare.
They have awesome kettle chips that are much less expensive than even the store brands in other stores. Soups are also better than Cambells and 1/2 the price. I just cant do all my shopping there. Not quite enough variety. I have never tried their meats and almost everyone I see has a pizza in their baskets.
They also sell Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix, which makes my family very happy! I'm vegetarian and liked Red Lobster just for that reason, lol. And I love their cheese selection- they sell Laughing Cow as well as their own brand- for only 1.25! I wish I had a shop planned soon- I want to make those biscuits for Holiday dinners smiling smiley

Aldi has good, off brand, cheap stuff... love them and love to shop them. I use what I get for Holiday and special occasions. It's nice to have an app all ready in the freezer for last minute company too.....

O.o o.O

Happily shopping New England and beyond!!!!!
Easy shops but I wait until they are a bit bonused. Regarding the flowers: It used to be a requirement to check the expiration dates just like the meat, milk, and bread. This time of year is perfect to grab them due to the christmas stollen. I did a shop last week and asked the staff if they had arrived and I think I startled him by my excited response. The stollen cakes are my ticket to family gatherings when I travel to Puerto Rico for the holidays. I am not allowed onto the island with them!

WOW--they need a bonus to get people to do Aldi's?? In my area they never even need an email, they are grabbed up so fast. I got lucky last month and checked the board and got four of them. This time I wasn't as fast and only got two. I shop there every week and love their products.
I never do them until they are bonused. The company that used to do them had a much higher fee too.
We don't have Aldi in my area, but it sounds like a good deal on many levels. Trader Joe's is just so expensive ... but good!
The issue with Aldi is that they want you to list EVERY item that is out of stock..which isn't bad when its only a few...but one day..there were so many...and my pen endedup running out of ink...I usually have extra pens, but this day i didn't..so I just started snapping pics of all the tags for out of stock items
