Question on Five Guys

I'm doing my first shop with them tonight. I'd like to take my spouse and child along, and it looks like that's fine. However, the directions aren't very clear on if all the order can be on one receipt. I've never eaten at Five Guys...how far does the reimbursement go? Does a burger, fries, and fountain drink take the whole $11? If my guests meals are on the same receipt, do they reimburse the full $11, or just my portion of the bill? I suppose the safest way to do it would be to order mine first and receive separate receipts. But if they reimburse the full $11 and that includes some of the other order, it makes sense to do that. Hope that makes sense...thanks.

Hi Snuffycuts99,
You can take other people but their orders have to be on a separate check. Yes, your order will take up the whole reimbursement. I personally order a little cheese burger, little fry, and regular drink and it comes out to a little over $11.
You can take them and put it all on the same receipt. You will only be reimbursed for a sandwich, fry and drink. If you get the small drink, little or medium fry and the sandwich it will be around $11. You will not be reimbursed for any other items on the receipt or the tax if you order more than those 3 items. I always just have them get their own stuff on a different receipt. Just makes it easier.
I believe they can go on the same receipt but just to be safe you might want to put them on separate receipts.
Easier on separate receipts. Your reimbursement will be used up with your meal anyway. Little cheeseburger, little fries and drink take up the reimbursement but the peanuts are free and it is a fun and easy shop with good burgers.
I don't see it in the instructions, but to make sure...these don't require you to pay with cash, right? I hate that about the golden arches!
I bring a guest and give my order first and then, my guest's order. I get reimbursed for what I ordered, which comes very close to the $11.

I don't get my order on a separate receipt because I bring my spouse with me. It would look odd, hahaha.
No, you do not have to pay with cash. By the way, if you order a regular size fries, it will be more than enough for all three of you. Your guests could then just buy the burgers, or hotdogs, or other sandwiches for themselves. The regular size fries are HUGE.

The harder I work, the luckier I get.
FYI - if you ever go by yourself and don't want to go over the reimbursement, the grilled cheese is so good! (I get that, little fries, and a drink)
One receipt is allowed and less obvious.

Wow, the burger was really good! Kind of expensive, but I am impressed with the taste. Very easy shop...it would be nice if they ever get bonused.
Expensive, agreed. I order a bunless burger, and don't understand why it doesn't cost a bit less.

It's fine if others go with you, and it's fine if everyone is on one receipt. The report asks the total spent on the entire order, and the totel spent on your order.

Here, their locations get bonused on a regular basis.
I got a web order shop this week. Got my food and left because the music was blasting. I wrnt to the register and told them I had an order they gave me my receipt and said it would be right up but they never gave me my drink cup. I had to walk over to the cups and grab one.

I usually like the 5 Guys shop as a way to take my young neices and nephew for a bite to eat they love going there. (on the same receipt using my debit card, not cash [for the OP])
If my husband goes with me, we get separate receipts just for the ease of it when reporting. I order first and I usually go over the $11 reimbursement by getting the double patties, fries and drink. He'll just order his own burger on his own transaction and receipt. We share "my"
fries (and usually take some home) and the drink since you can refill. The second patty comes home with us for the dog! She'll give us attitude if she smells Five Guys on us and there is nothing for her!
I have never taken anyone with me...but I beleive you CAN put it all on one order...

then they specifically ask for your total...they will not reimburse at all for the other items...

in my area the bill ranges from 9.60-10.60 for a little burger, little fries, regular drink..

of course you are free to share your fries with others if the don't order their own....alittle fries order is plenty for 1 adult and1child usually..
I generally order a double burger, little fries, and a large drink and only go 25-30 cents over the reimbursement.

I do the little bacon cheeseburger, little fries and little drink and it usually runs a about $11.50. They really need to increase the reimbursement to $12 as most states charge tax and that's what always throws my order over the $11 amount.
I seldom take anyone with me but when I do, I prefer ordering a simple little burger, little fries and regular drink. Then I order a BLT and a drink. We exchange sandwiches and we share the fries. As some poster said, it is easier that way because in the report, they will ask you how much you spent for yourself and how much the total bill. And since they add extra scoop of fries, I feel the order is ample. Depending on my companion, I may change to regular fries.
I have taken people with me before. When I go with my father, I will do my whole order first, then look at the register for the price with tax before my dad orders. Often, they don't assume we're together and will give me the price then I have to say that he's with me.

One receipt is fine, as long as you are accurate with the price of your items. Letting yours ring up first will give you the tax amount. Might as well get that included in the reimbursement.
When I take the family, I like to order just for my self, then my wife comes behind me and orders for her and the kids. Then we all sit together and the cashier gives me the hairy eyeball for the rest of the visit.
