Where are the flakes this month??

I've been looking for last minute shops that ***MUST*** be done before Christmas and I'm not seeing any. In fact my main boards have dried up completely. Yes, it was a great month already, but I'm bored and looking for more.

Anyone else seeing this?

There's still plenty on the board here in Hawaii with bonuses gradually going up. I've got a 3 night hotel shop this weekend, but otherwise plan on no more shops for the year unless bonuses get huge.
I'm not seeing much work here except the shops that still aren't bonused. I have nothing, zero, zilch scheduled for next week. But I'm still hopeful!
I've been getting calls all week. Booked through the 30th with most having bonuses. The only dates I'm off are the 24th and 25th. I'll book the 24th should the opportunity present itself.
Yeah I've been busy too. Phone ringing off the hook. I refuse to work tomorrow I'm exhausted. I'm not checking my email. No No No. LOL
Plenty of shops in my area. Most with a bonus. Five shops today! I am done until after Christmas.
I'm busy tomorrow with two shops with very large bonuses. No flakes I don't think just hard to fill locations. I don't plan on doing any more work for the rest of the month.
It has been a great month through today but the rest of the month is empty. However January is looking strong. Looking forward to a few days off to catch up on reports and computer input.
I am not seeing any bonuses - in fact the job boards here have dried up until after the holidays. This has been one of my worst months as a mystery shopper in the 3 years that I have been shopping.
Apparently there are more flakes than last December because I've quadrupled my profits this month. Keep on coming flakes.. I have no problem doing your shops grinning smiley

I have no problem doing their shops either. I have six more this week and two next week and then...I'm on holidays. Well, unless they make it worth my while. winking smiley
The boards are dry in my area. Even my best companies have noting at all or almost nothing.
Finished my last mortgage shop today. I am done for the year too. Slim pickings in my area for the types of shops that I do. Will spend the next few days getting ready for my holiday travels.
I have made about the same this month than I have previous months but I have worked less. Most of my shops have bonuses on them. I would love a few more over the next two weeks but I am not finding any. I do have several booked for January though.
All the flakes are working on their suntans in states like Arizona, Florida and Hawaii. While they have the potential for increasing their chances to get skin cancer, the rest of us have the potential to fatten our bank accounts. Ho, ho, ho.
Not finding many flakes around here. I have found some shops that are needing to get done and have applied as I can work them in with a day trip to visit family next week.

Have PV-500 & willing to travel.

I am registered with over 30 companies. I have all the shortcuts on my desktop and roll through them each several times a day. I can schedule over $100 worth of jobs for each
day by doing this. I was empty for the last two weeks of December and am now full of bonused shops. Persistence pays off. I even scheduled some days with jobs that had a date due of the 23rd this month and got them for the 26th because I can only do so many shops in one day.
As for flakes. I've had to reschedule shops, but I live in the NE and we get lots of snow and ice. I check the weather 10 days out and make notations in my daytimer for possible storms and schedule around them until the day is closer. BUT, not much we can do about mother nature and I will not work in ice, period, too dangerous. I flaked a couple of times back in 2007 when I first started doing this, but no more. It is downright rude and you lose the opportunity for ever working for that company again. From what I have read here, I will be emailing my schedulers more regularly on mass emails. I always thought they had too many emails in their inboxes and did not want the extra work of reading through them all.
Have a Merry Christmas!!
Not much at all on the boards starting a week ago. I have six on Sat, then nothing until after the first of the year. I was afraid it would happen so I really hustled the first two weeks. Made my buudget and than some so the break will be wonderful. I am a little burned out, but I don't have a choice. Until I sell my house and downsize, gotta make that budget every month.

Everyone - have a great weekend and enjoy the season.
There are a few green gas stations still awaiting a shop. The problem with these are that one must await a FedEx shipment of the scandalous sheet before performing the shop.

These are the gas stations in the lonely little towns out in the vast countryside. While one awaits the delivery over the days, the weather, that was sunny and bright, when the shop was taken, may become a winter snow event.

I do not relish taking any shop that requires me to drive vast distances in weather that may incapacitate your vehicle and cost one more in repair than the shop shall pay.

Too bad one cannot simply take the shop on the day it is listed and then just do it.
I had my largest bonus ever today for a Lowes (two hours one way) and another large bonus for going to the middle of nowhere in Maine on Sunday for a gas station shop. There were a couple more they needing done elsewhere in the middle of nowhere New England, but I had too much else on my plate to take them by the deadline of the 23rd. I left them with the offer of doing them on Xmas Eve and have a feeling I will end up on that road trip after all.

I don't think it is a matter of people flaking around here. It's simply deadlines and most aren't willing to travel.
I just picked up a $20 bonused shop for tomorrow. Another one up north $25 bonused and we are going up that way anyway. I am loving it.. I don't think those are necessarily flaked shops as the first one had been emailing local shoppers for weeks about it. I just never did a shop for that company and didn't want to go in that area.

I hope everyone can find atleast one shop to do but if not - best wishes for a very prosperous January smiling smiley

ETA: $20 is the bonus alone not including the shop fee ($40 and $50 for the other one)

I could not resist some airport bonuses . Nicely bonused pretzels, electronics and retail shops. Guess people flaked because they did not want to chance MS'n during holiday travel. I am fortunate to have an airport badge. I made a quick trip before the holidays rush. Well worth it for me. Easy, no crowds yet.

All the flakes are flocking to me. I could build a snowman.

However, all my Canadian shops are complete.
Just picked up a bonus for an easy shop - close to home. I have a feeling there may be a few more the next 3 days.
I'm a flake. Both daughters are sick with high fevers and bad nosebleeds. And last night my husband was in a terrible accident, flipped his car and totaled it. He's lucky to be alive. I had to cancel a bunch of casino shops.

Bah humbug.

Phoebe,
I wouldn't consider this flaking. You notified the companies. I'm so sorry to hear about your husband and daughters. Thank God he is okay. I hope your daughters feel better soon.
