McDonalds - Drive thru or dining first?

I apologize if this has been asked-I did do a search on the forum. Does one need to do the drive-thru visit before the dining room visit? The reason I ask is I could have sworn the certification video stated to do the drive thru first, but I cannot find the answer in the CPI/directions. I cannot access the certification video so I need an answer to this question.

We've discussed it several times. There are some posters who always do the dining room visit first and others who never do. I personally prefer to do the drive through first, but I sometimes dine in first and this has never been a problem. My reports have been accepted without question.
Thank you for your reply. i did a search of "Mcdonalds" and could not find the answer. Apparently I should have done a search on "fast food" or "(MSC)".
Thanks again.

Mod note: Linking a client with the MSC is against Forum rules and probably a breach of your ICA agreement.
No, sometimes a search won't show you. As off-topic as we often are, there's no telling whether we discussed this under the specific topic or even under the specific client. I just remember the discussions because I am cursed (my Mama always called if "blessed" but she was fibbing to me) with a good memory.
No requirement states you have to do one first.

If you do drive-thru first, you add a minimum or 5 extra minutes to your shop. Guidelines state if you perform drive-thru first, you cannot enter the location for the dine-in for at least 5 minutes after completing the drive-thru. For dine-in, the requirement is to stay a minimum of 15 minutes after receiving your order.

If you do dine-in first, you can immediately perform the drive-thru after you hit you minimum 15 minute mark for the dine-in required time.

Uh oh, MSC was named. Better remove it quickly!

Two different MSC's do this shop. One of them definitely says you have to wait 5 minutes either way and while the larger MSC used to not require the 5 minutes between if you do the dine-in first I'm fairly certain the last time I did one for the larger MSC their instructions had been updated to include it also.

Hi, I've been lurking for awhile, and learning a lot of valuable information from all of you long time shoppers. Thanks for that! I've not posted before because I didn't have any relevant advice to offer, but on this subject I do. I had this same question when I first started doing the McD's shops, so I emailed the scheduler. She told me it did not matter, as long as you get them both done. Hope this helps! : )
