If you have not heard from MF or CFA, chances are they were not aware that the jobs were still on the board. I remember when I was new, that was exactly what I did but I contacted them if the job was still available as it was outdated. The reply was "Is it still there? It's been gone for a while." So, they were not aware that they had that on the board at that time. I am not sure if this is the case with the shop you applied for.
Here is what I read regarding a check dated 2014: "LOCATIONS FOR THESE CHECKS MAY BE AVAILABLE STARTING WEDNESDAY 12/17/14 AND THROUGH THE HOLIDAY SEASON. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN CONDUCTING THESE CHECKS IN THE FUTURE, PLEASE CLICK ON THE “REQUEST” LINK BELOW. A MFI REPRESENTATIVE WILL CONTACT YOU WITH ADDITIONAL DETAILS ONCE THEY BECOME AVAILABLE.

I have completed a number of the open and closed checks and they have, a few times contacted me when I applied for special assignments. So, if the checks are still valid for January, they would probably contact you if it is available in the future.
