For $1.99 I downloaded it. I'm willing to give it a shot. I have 6 shops for the same company next week. If I can figure out how to write from my phone until I find a McDonald's! Yippee!

The hardest part of my long routes is separating the individual shops so my narratives are unique.

I need something that will help me with the narratives for this particular company. If it helps with the narratives, I'm not going to worry about my data usage.

I love this apps. I use it to write notes like I'm texting instead of just tapping. When I get in line, i would write line, then send, and so on.
I use Shop-It for the majority of my shops, but I've found it to be extremely unreliable for recordings. It does well for recording fast food times. I dislike the number of steps that are required to get into the notes after saving them, and I would love to have notes for each shop that I do rather than a general note sheet. I can't complain too much, though--it was free with my Play Store credits from Google Opinion Rewards! winking smiley
For fast food shops I use 'Mystery Shopper Timer' on my iPhone. It calculates the different timing points and with the newest update you have a dummy screen so it is not so obvious what you are doing. It can also record the scores to use later.
This is only specific to a certain burger chain, but works really well.
Big fan of Shop It and this one looks cool. I'll give it a spin this week (mystery shopper timer)

I just tried Mystery Shopper timer and my first complaint is that there is no room for error. You only get to tap the screen 3 times for 3 timings so if you accidentally tap you are kinda screwed unless you can quickly save and start a new project. I would love it if there were a drive thru timer with the pictures of the car and you could just tap each car when you reach that position!
My complaints with Shop It is the 24 hour instead of 12 hour clock system. Second issue is when I record, it shows the time for the end of the recording, not when the recording started. Otherwise, I love it.

My favorite way to use ShopIt for those fast food timings is to get it all set up then place my phone on it's side in a purse compartment that I can easily reach with one hand. I then just press down on the volume button (press hard) and it records a timing. No tapping the screen, don't even have to have to see the phone to do it. My phone does little vibrations/buzz sounds when I change the volume so I can tell by the feel that it recorded it.

I never get a false timing because the "tapping" screen motion doesn't happen when it is in the purse pocket.

Super stealthy - even better for the Post Office shops where you are juggling a package too and would have to put the phone away just as you were approaching the counter (or I suppose place it face down on the counter).
The volume button for timings is only on Android by the way. and it is a cool feature.
