Sears/KMart audits

Did the company that had them last year lose the contract, or are they not doing any till after the full holiday rush is over? Those were good money.

Not sure if this has much to do with it, but I know of numerous Kmart's that are closing...
Its been at least a year since I have seen Kmart shops....never saw Sears...it was the company that would raise commisions every few days...
Not the shops, the pricing audits. They had them a KMart, Sears and Sear Auto centers a lot last year. Nothing so far this year.
I think the company is in terrible financial shape. Wouldn't surprise me if they stopped paying for mystery shoppers

I would wait until next month to look for them. A lot of retailers do a yearly inventory count around this time.

When I was in retail, the company let the stock dwindle down until the count was taken. Maybe they don’t want pricing audits happening until they are done with all that.

Slightly different audit actually. Sears/KMart at leats used to have folks go out monthly to each store to make sure the prices on the shelves matched the computer system. Apparently they've been suspended since no one else has seen them either.
I saw one in my area but the price wasn't right.

I am doing a Sears one on the 16th of this month and thenanother one on the 19th. I do them two or three times per year. The same company has been doing it for at least four years that I have been doing them.
A couple of them came up for me. Mayeb the ones around here were taking a break from audits.
I saw one. It paid $25 for 100 sale item prices. It seemed like that would take a while, so I passed.

They don't take too long at all. Usually 1-1.5 hours, depending on store personnel. It's not 100 sale items. It's 100 items from various categories. First audit can take a bit, but once you get used to the paperwork they can be really quick.
They are back but they seem to be spreading out the frequency more (less often). As always the big MSC starts these out at $25 so I just patiently wait until "Samantha" comes along getting desperate with her bonus offers.

Today they had an article on a business website. The author wondered whether Sears/Kmart was going to go the way that Radioshack went earlier this week.

I went to one last year to do a car audit. It was my second Auto Center audit. The store was shutting down. The auto center wasn't there any more and most of the merchandise was already gone. It was a very sad situation.
