Nothing was done before I went!

I had a job to do that I would be "replenishing" stock. Mind you I got this shop at the last minute because it needed to be done right away and it's literally in my backyard and then one up the street, so I offered to help out. So when I got to the one store I looked at the space where I was to "replenish" to find that it's not only needs to be replenished but totally taken apart and set up to the fit the planogram. Once I started to pull the cards off the pegs I know see a whole new problem! The scanning tags are not only stickers but are from 2010 and 2012! So now I'm having to pull all the stickers off so new tickets could be printed to be put up. So after doing what I take a walk to the back of the store to look at that display to find the same problems along with the wrong hooks too! At this point I had been in this store for 3 1/2 hours and I still had one more to do. I was so aggravated, I finished what I was there for took a lot of pictures and talked the manager and left. I went to the other store it wax perfect! I did my replenishing and done.

My point here is how is it MS' S are getting away with this? You have to take pictures of these displays? Can't they see they aren't right? I wrote a letter to the supervisor of the region to tell her about the situation and the fee I was getting paid for the amount of work I did but I haven't heard from her yet.

Don't get me wrong I have no problem with doing the work, but don't tell me I need to do this and then actually I really have to do a whole bunch more especially WHEN THEY CALL ME TO DO THE JOB!

I'm done

Thanks!

Been there, done that, too many times. One of the reasons that I don't do merchandising any more.
If you think replenishing the well maintained one was worth the pay, call the company and ask to be assigned to both locations as the regular merchandiser. They owe you.
I know nothing about merchandising, but it seems to me if it was a replenishing job then you just need to replenish what's there. If there is not a peg for the items you are replenishing then you skip and go to the next one. Sounds to me like all that other work you did was free work for the merchandising co.

CF also will up their pay if you can justify the time needed to complete. I have been with them for many years and very much enjoy their work. BTW, shouldn't this thread be in the merchandising section not the MS section?
Dishopper, it is also possible, indeed probable, that the display may have been set to the planogram, albeit without the correct stickers. When I was in retail, it was not unusual to receive displays with parts missing. Additionally, managers are often under salary budget constraints that don't give them the hours to be able to properly staff the store and the employees will end up making things "look nice" without regard to if the product is in the correct location.
