MSC Employee asks Papa John's Manager Why They Out Shoppers

I agree, I don't think anyone was saying the information (?) or whatever wasn't interesting, just linking it was preferable to some of us instead of taking a screenshot of the discussion and posting it. Apparently that wasn't communicated well.

Screenshots, pictures, animated characters in sig lines, all are starting to be common whether some of us like them or not. Why don't I read so many complaints on other threads? I'm more inclined to read something if it's on the same page. While the link would have made for a shorter post, copying/pasting the text of the conversation would not. So what's the difference?

Personally I'm against the photo being posted specifically because then when someone puts a photo or animated character in their sig line or posts photos here and everywhere else and it gets annoying the someone can point to the 1 instance where posting a photo might be acceptable and say well they did it why can't I?

As much as I'm a fan of a funny, derailed thread, perhaps the subject would be better addressed in Meta? Right now it seems someone who has probably posted a photo twice is getting the fallout while one or two others who post them all the time are not.

Okay, I found original discussion. If any other late-comers want to read it, here it is: [www.reddit.com]

Please don't gripe at me for posting a link. If you don't like links in posts then don't click on it. And if you prefer a screenshot, you're on your own. I learn from other people's mistakes. :p

I agree this has gotten way out of hand, but I think the problem was with the OP being abrasive when someone suggested a link instead of a photo and he replied telling them to stay on topic and basically tried to dictate what gets posted where.

Hrm. After reading through from the link it seems a bit clearer to me. I think the manager didn't understand the question. He answered why they find out who the shopper is but did not address why they would tell corporate at all.

That is how this whole thing started. I recommended adding a link to the article/website/forum post rather than try to manipulate a hard-to-read image so forum members could actually read it. Apparently the OP is anti-links.

ETA: Just read the second page of comments. To clarify, the original image was not legible to most if not all forum members. A thumbnail was too small to read and the larger version was cutoff on the sides. My simple solution was to post the link directly to the item in queation. The OP did not take kindly to that suggestion. Yes, it was a suggestion, not an order. Then the OP turned on bgriffin for some reason and the OP tried to become the Forum Dictator.

bgriffin, does that about sum it up?

Now wonder this does not make sense to the latecomers. "Edited 8 time(s). Last edit at 01/25/2015 12:46PM by BillBryaninCarthage."

This is interesting. A Papa John's manager conducted an ask-me-anything session on reddit six months ago. An MSC employee working for the MSC that had the Papa John's shops at the time, asked a question that's been asked here before.

Sorry, but by the consensus of Sybil2, bgriffin, and AustinMom, who don't like images posted at this forum, I have deleted the image so as not to upset them any more than they already have been.

I don't like a lot of pictures on this forum. It's pretty and uncluttered, adding photos makes it cluttered.

Instead of trying to post actual articles, wouldn't it be easier to just include a link to the article? If people are interested in reading the article, they will just click on the link.
You can always count on me to post an image:

This papa john is a mental case. He is very rich and is having a blast with these mystery companies and shoppers. It's a big joke to him. A game and making a fool of everyone. Because of the power of the buck, he's got everyone involved in his madness. I really think he's nuts.

I wouldn't touch those "shops" with a ten foot pole.

I think you just hit the nail on the head. I won't do the shops and I won't buy the product.

Wait. In other threads you seem to indicate that I love myself too much. Please. Which is it??

God so much griping in this thread. Thanks for posting the photo.. I for one am not picky. I have no problem right clicking and viewing the image in another tab. There is so much back and forth in this thread that I actually forgot what this was about but yeah... tongue sticking out smiley

I think the manager's point was that the sneaky Papa John's local management would try to game the system but it was up to the noble higher management to 'out' the shopper to get the valid results they are paying a MSC to obtain. Which is true but the place to start would be to have the shoppers place a reasonable order and use coupons, like a real customer would.
That leaves the question, how does the noble higher management know if the peons in the stores don't out the shopper?

Sybil, yeah that train left the station and you are the Conductor! Your negativity is an example of your insecurity. Give it a rest.
It's kind of confusing when members who are not admin/moderators have quotes from "The Admin" in their signature, especially when they aren't in quotation marks. It took me a bit to determine that the OP is not "The Admin".
Personally, I dis-like the "Papa (insert name here)" type pizzas.

You know the pizzas: Much too much crust and carbs with little if any topping. Some even offer breadsticks or cinnamon drizzled bread.

There is a pizza place in the Chicago area that serves pizza with a thin crust, giardinera and Italian beef.

Sometimes, we drive down just to get it.

Although those 2 deep dish pizza places in downtown Chicago are very good. The wood fired types as well.

First of all, I love it that you thought my comment was referring to you. Then again, maybe it was since you have so many alter egos.

Insecurity? That gave me a good laugh.

I had a good night's sleep so I am well rested. Thank you for your concern.
