Stericycle

Hey, I'm trying to register with Stericycle, they have all these pages of stuff to fill out, along with drivers license and photo, apparently (unless I'm wrong) you can't just fill out online. They say you can mail it (I don't have color in my printer to print pics at the moment), email it (but they won't give an email address) or fax it (unless you pay, you can only send 2-3 pages per day). I know I sound cheap, but between gas, printing paper, ink, etc. it gets expensive. I also can't seem to get ahold of anybody on the phone to ask. Any ideas?

I'm with nanabelle... they don't have nearly as many shops anymore and their commissions are low.
Stericycle actually has more than just the mystery shopping division. They also have an entirely different office and website for product retrievals. So the question would be which one the OP is referencing.

I'm actually looking to do recalls and such, in Florida. If I don't like them I can always take them off my list, right?
If you are registering with the product retrieval division it could very well be worth it for you. I know some people who were doing some assignments and were very pleased. You ought to be able to get an email address. That's how I sent in all my paperwork.

Since the two divisions operate separately, including using different websites, we may want to start verifying the specific division.

Used to work a ton for this company now there fee for a gas station is $4.00 and they almost rarely go up and some fool seems to take them for $4.00. Gas was $3.00 and they lowered it to $2.00 and store purchase was $2.00 and they lowered it to $1.00. They used to have another gas station company but they left and went to another mystery shopping company. They never get all of their stations done for the month so it may be just a matter of time before they lose their $4.00 one. Simply not profitable.

I've been very happy with Stericycle and product retrieval. They pay mileage and report processing time.
Would guess the new owner has no interest in ms and is just riding it out for now with no new clients being pursued and exisitng contracts expiring.
They had to buy the whole company no doubt, including unwanted portions like ms...
Maritz has done a fine job of poaching CORI clients to the detriment of IC commissions. CORI is but a shell of what it once was and now we are all making less for the same shops (and a much clunkier website for reporting the same results).

Maritz is doing bank shops that are 100% identical to another MSC's and is paying fees that are exactly 37% less. I hope they don't poach that client. I'll be sticking with the other MSC for those shops, not only because of the fees but because Maritz makes the process of reporting and uploading more complicated than the other MSC.
It looks like stericycle has 2 divisions. One the mystery shopping portion has very few clients left and is really not worth much if anything. Saying this in a 4 day window from 2/4/15 to 2/7/15 I will have done 4 shops for their one client. Had to negotiate pay through their live chat on 2 and got lucky on other 2 as pay had gone high enough. I love their easy reports and quick pay which is why I still do work for them. If I were not signed up with them I probably would not for the mystery shopping division. On the product retreival side it may be worth it I can't say as I am not signed up with that division.

As far as Maritz just wait for the deadlines to near and wait for the phone calls. Or just call and ask for incentives. You will end up making more than when they were with CORI.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.

Just checked and no shops available. I guess that's that! sad smiley

Fair enough. It's probably been a solid month since I got an e-mail from them. I do remember the rush bookstore shops being in season when I last heard from them.
Does anyone know if Stericycle has product retrieval jobs all across the U.S. or do they only serve certain states? Thank you.
The have them all over.
However, in my experience they are random. Whenever they have a product recall or recall effectiveness check, so it's not steady. But it does pay well. They pay by the hour for administration (any work to do with the project), driving, input and destruction (if necessary). They also pay mileage and for printing. You get an email notification of a project in your area, and in mine they go quick!!
That is just as location dependent as always. The few times I spoke to them when they were having a hard time filling shops for a former Cori client they wouldn't get anywhere near what I had made previously and they were calling me.

What strikes me as downright odd is how the same shops went for higher fees with Stericycle than they ever do with Maritz. I always believe most of us are registered with the same major MSCs so it seems shoppers would have taken the shops with Stericycle at the low rates. Instead shops would sit around hitting $20, $30 and $40 while Maritz shoppers are snapping them up at $10 and $12.

Frustrates me that I can't get access to my account. Retrieved my pw and it tells me invalid even though I spoke to them directly.
I've been checking for about a week or more and no shops available here. I guess that's that! sad smiley
One set of stores at stericycle dropped their fees in the last few months...they only went up about $2 even if you waited...and people snapped them up anyway.....the one store is actually has a better reimbursement and a moderate starting fee
