2015:Clients who have dropped their ms program

I just received an email stating they are trying to schedule the postal shops for the remaining quarter of the year. Are they discontinuing this shop? That would be huge!!

1. That is possible.
2. Isn't the next quarter the final quarter for fiscal reporting? Our $$ gurus will see this and let us know.
3. Is there anything noteworthy about this type of assignment?

Postal shops are something I have mixed feelings about. As a shopper I hope they go on forever. As a consumer, however, I feel differently. The price of stamps keeps going up, and I wonder how much of that is going to pay mystery shoppers.

I hadn't thought of the fiscal year, that would make sense. I do a fair amount of shops, so I would hate for it to end. I would think that if the postal shops were discontinued, there would have been more comments about it.
When is their fiscal year? The only thing I could find gave me the impression it runs from October through September making this the second quarter.

Direct Tools Factory Outlet. I have not seen this shop in months and it's a bummer as it paid $10 for the report and up to $20 in reimbursement and I have been able to buy some nice things that I would not normally buy on my dime - but on someone else's dime, yes, I will. I would love to see this shop come back!!!!!
The federal government runs on a fiscal year of October 1 through September 30.

The Direct Tools store in my area is still shopped. You're right; it's an easy report. I'm waiting for the rotation to come my way again.

Has Verizon switched MSCs?

Do you mean for the Authorized Dealer Cell stores? No. Haven' tseen any company stores in a bit though. I guess they haven't reset the planograms in a while. Shame. Those were good money.

The same MSC seemed to have all of the stores in my area regardless of whether they were corporate or Authorized Dealer. I stopped seeing them around December. The corporate store showed up with another MSC briefly within 30 days of the last time I shopped the location with the first MSC.
I did a Coke/Popeyes reveal shop...kinda fun.

Do not read so much, look about you and think of what you see there.

A lot of the rural DQs in the midwest are closed for a period during the winter anyway. LOL.

Somewhere in the Midwest, shopping / auditing full time since 2014. Will use PV-500 for food! smiling smiley

Weird. All of the stores around me are still with the same company.
I've done a few Pandora and Bahama Breeze shops this year. So they are still active for this year.
I am seeing the $15 Verizon (get a cellphone recommendation) shops at a new MSC for $10.

Juan Valdez (tiny coffee chain) has switched companies again. New company is reimbursement only, no fee and they don't pay for parking.

Also dropped out of ms:

Ben's Kosher Deli chain

Laz-Z-Boy

Laz-Z-Boy available in my area.

A Dad shopping the Ark-LA-Tex and beyond.
La-Z-Boy changed MSCs in my area. In my opinion, the current fee is too low, but it is possible that the requirements have changed.

I am sooo bummed about Benihana!! They were one of my favorite shops.

Bonefish has went to another MSC.

Sbarro

Sabarro filed Bankruptcy and closed 40% of their stores...

The mall I went to do a shop at, the Sabarro's had been boarded up...

I used to like Sabarros but once had a shop in the mall and the pizza did not taste good. I know that likely is not the norm...but it was not how I remember it other places...
I am late to answer the post office comment from Feb. Guess I have not read this thread since then. I emailed the scheduler in my neck of the woods back when that mention was made asking about it being the "last jobs" as I planned to pick up a whole bunch if so and send my kids everything I could think of to send them for the next few celebration days.
My scheduler confirmed it was the last qtr of their business year. I gather that means the msc contract year with the post office. It does not mean they no longer have the contract. So I am expecting a new list sometime in the early part of next month.
Scenario A shops for April for some of the states near me have appeared and I have applied for them. I did one of them last week as well.

Looks like PO Scenario A's are starting here, at least for WI. Hoping for IL soon - it's managed by a different person.
