Gapbuster scam or legit?

I received this today. I checked my bank account and a deposit was made yesterday. It looks highly suspicious, but also legit. Any thoughts? I have an enquiry into Gapbuster.

Hi Michael,

Just came across this thread, would like to assure you that Hashimah Hussain is a customer service officer of the Canada Shopper Team.

Every communication with GB is laced with terribly broken English and confusing phraseology. They all look like emails from a Nigerian prince.

Still... Legit company. Just very very foreign (to Westerners).

Seriously, nobody cares that you're offended.
Apparently these type of emails are commonplace.. they email asking for bank info and passwords for their website. I initially said scam because I really don't know any other MSC that asks for your password on their own site or banking info. Very strange.

Hi Michael,

The information requested by Hashimah, is when payment is going to be paid for a single shopper only. When we process the whole market, we do not require this information. Also we have updated our payment system for Canada, which can be through PayPal or Bank account. If bank account we ONLY need name, Account, and ABA/Routing number.

Thanks a lot for your feedback.

Thank you for your feedback. I would like to explain more on the part when CSO ask for Password, the reason they ask is that CSO cannot see shoppers password's. This can only be accessed by the Operations Manager, so when a shopper has issues with the website and assistance required they sometimes do ask shoppers. However, this is not a common action done by us. Banking details was requested by most to make separate payments, so to pay 1 shopper and not the whole market for example. When we pay the whole market we only need Name, Account and ABA/routing number.

Thanks,

Daniel Edward
