Marketforce and Chrome

Anybody else having trouble accessing MF using Chrome ?

This has been a recurring problem for me which just started up again the last couple of days. I find I have to go to Firefox to be able to even log in. It used to be a constant issue - then it was working ok for months, and now back to not loading at all.

Oddly the specifically WANT you to use Chrome. Chrome works for me everywhere else with no issues.

I was on there yesterday and then again tried just now in Chrome. I did not have any difficulty either time. But, I do know that things like that can happen from time to time.
I can't access it on my iPhone - drives me insane that I have to do it from my laptop (at home)
I just did a shop for them and used IE to enter it...no problems.

I've had problems accessing their website using Chrome a few times before. And I ALWAYS have problems with their theater website with Chrome. When it happens, I switch over to IE, and life is good. Bottom line, whenever I have problems with a website using Chrome, I switch to another browser and 99 times out of 100, the problems is solved.
I use Firefox Nightly build that is 64 bit and Windows 8.1 and lots of plugins for privacy and anti banner ads and much more.

I have not had any issues with MF's new interface.

I was thinking about spoofing the browser identity to Chrome to avoid the popup on their site with another plugin that allows me to set the browser ID string with Greasemonkey scripting.

I mean really he has to know that me, techman, and maybe 2 or 3 other people are all that understand him doesn't he? Sounds like someone showing off their "tech" skills more than actually being helpful. I worked for IBM for 12 years, I'm not so impressed by tech skills.

Sorry. There are different versions of Firefox. There is the release version that everyone uses.

There is another "branch" called Nightly, that is the development branch and is updated every day. It has every cool feature and it changes as they make decisions on the new graphic interface. It is mostly bug fixes and is the most up to date version of Firefox there is. It is remarkably stable. I can count on one hand the number of times that it was completely broken for 24 hours. You can have both the released version and the nightly installed at the same time and they will use the same profile, plug-ins and bookmarks. You can run either, but not both at the same time.

The nightly is what's called Beta, or testing software. It's the latest version with all the bug fixes and new bugs introduced daily.

The plugin called Greasemonkey is very powerful as it allows you to install scripts to change the behavior of a website in real time with the browser manipulating the site.

I posted links to the sites and they are self explanatory for those willing to learn to improve their web experience.

I don't try to talk over the heads of anyone, I am just so geeky, that it seems natural to me.
Ooh....I learned there is a Nightly build of Firefox for Android just now.

By explaining this, I learned something new! I love to be on the cutting edge of technology. Sometimes it's the bleeding edge. Depends on what it is. Firefox is a pretty safe thing to install the Beta version, as you can always fall back to the released version. I'd never post something that could be damaging or could prevent someone from getting the work done.

Some people have no desire to learn or read anything technical. Others ask technical questions and I try to provide answers that are understandable. I can't please everyone.

I used my THC yesterday to input MF shops while on site. Chrome worked fine. Only problem is that MF won't let you skip around to enter data so it is a problem if the drive thru is done last.

Filling out the online survey ON SITE of the company being shopped is very dangerous and against every shop instruction I have ever read. This one should be implied everywhere, even if not in each shop instruction.

There are exceptions where you can take a reminder sheet into some shops to quickly record multiple interactions or critical timings. This is usually a one page sheet at the end of the shopping instructions.

If the MSC has video of you filling out the full online survey on site, this will not turn out good for you.
Hey Scanman, I bought a new HP computer that can be a laptop or a tablet. Some sites like won't let me sign on with it. Is there an easy, very very easy fix. Would this Firefox work? Thanks. It is hard being completely computer illiterate.

That is not enough information for me to give you a logical answer. Do you get an error code? Does it timeout? What browser and OS type are you using?

I'd install another browser such as Firefox and try accessing the site with the new browser.

Everyone has a photographic memory. Some just forget to load the film.
I had trouble downloading a shop survey today using IE. I used Fox instead and had no problems. I think that I will use the Fox to enter my report tomorrow.
@scanman1,
I wasn't zzz ing your post. I can't figure out how to delete my posts. lol Next time I'll use !!! lol

These days, I use IE with MF, with some difficulty, especially when trying to log in with my autopassword whatever it is malware or software or melmac. ?

Just happy I didn't go through with signing up for those audits. I actually was logging in to take a look, when I decided to come into this forum for a moment to check out the news...
I can't get on sites if they do not support mobile devices, even when I use the desktop mode. It has windows 8.1 and uses internet Explorer 11. It is a Pavilion x360. How can I get it to say it is not a mobile device. Job Slinger is one site I can't get on. That is about the extent of my knowledge of this computer. Thanks.
