Flake Citation?

On SASSIE, citations are clearly shown at the top of the shop log screen (if you have ever self-deactivated or -reactivated, those are kept the same way as citations). I've only ever gotten one flake citation... hope it stays that way.

I shopped the wrong location, or rather, I thought I signed up for the location I shopped but chose another one. I emailed them quickly, and waited. A couple of days later the scheduler contacted me. I sent emails with copies. She noted in the remarks, "Thank you for letting us know you shopped the wrong location." and I received no flake citation.

I did get one from a scheduler. I did a series of recorded phone shops and overlooked finishing the report on one. Never received any follow up, like, Are you going to write the report? Just took it off my list and issued the flake citation. Still there. Another from a company and then she put the shop back on my log and I performed it. Company merged so it's gone.

All citations for Sassie companies show up on your Shop Log page. Hero citations show up there, too.

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that there are fewer e-mails offering "hero" citatations since we've made fun on the forum, saying how useless a hero citation is? I see see them now and then but not like I used to.
Yes Austin, I get no hero offers now. Last time I got one I told the scheduler I couldn't put it in the bank.

In 2011, I saw a Flake Citation, about a year and a half after it was issued, on one of my MS Shop Logs. Surprised, I contacted the scheduler apologizing, informing her that I had no recollection of the missed shop. She responded with, “I have looked into your account, and there is no cause for concern over this citation. You have an excellent average rating and history with our company, and are qualified for any of our jobs.” I have performed many shops since and my overall ratings are 9s and 10s.
Some flake citations are more punitive than others too. When I was first starting out, one MSC gave me a flake citation with a value of.... *1* for 20 shops. Wish I was kidding.

Needless to say, I rarely work for those guys anymore...

You flaked on 20 shops?!?!?!

No. You know how in SASSIE a Flake Citation has a weight to it. Like flake, rating of 1 for 5 shops.
It would look like 1/5 on your job board. Or if you had a hero citation, could be like rating of 10 for 2 shops, and it would show 2/10.

This was one Flake, rating of 1, for *20* shops!

Yeah I think so. smiling smiley Actually going to call her on Monday and try to make amends because there's a couple of jobs I want to do for them, they're in really hard to fill rural locations along on y route, and I've gotten 10s on the other jobs for them I've done (this MSC lets *anyone* self assign certain jobs, so I was able to give myself those)

Could you imagine a hero citation worth 10 for 20 shops? Hahaha.

Alex, another poster just started a flake citation thread. Apparently shoppers are pissing some MSC's off!
Yesterday was the end of the month. Any missed shops can't be done in time to save the scheduler's bonuses now.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
I wonder if this is the same scheduler doing this. Would it be against ICA for you and Trishbos to compare notes on the scheduler by just putting the scheduler's initials? [www.mysteryshopforum.com]

This seems to rule out that the 0/20 was just a typo intending to be 0/2, which is what was being considered on the other thread. I also posted links on where to find information to complain to her boss if it was overly punative over there. I'd like to know, because I work for them quite a bit. I'd be wild if this happened to me.

(Yeah a 10/20 Hero would be awesome)

Where are we going... and why are we in a hand basket?

I am shocked to hear it is North Fork. They are very accommodating.
It's amazing to me how different shoppers can have different experiences, some ranging from gushing about an MSC to someone else ranting about the same MSC. I myself have not done many shops for this MSC but have had good experiences with them and only wish I could do more shops for them....not that many shops they have in the Phoenix, AZ area.

I just read the comment saying I should send her my police report, do others agree with this? Because honestly I really thought about it..

Yes. I would. You don't know how many other people flake on them and just make up excuses. Maybe she just dealt with a bunch of those or a shopper who got in their third "car accident" that week. I would worry she didn't believe me, and I kinda take that personally. Either way, adding evidence may make her change her tune and lighten up on you. Even if she didn't actually call you a liar, she may have been thinking it leading her to be harsh.

I tend to see things on the positive side, and want to believe that the schedulers would not go off the deep end for no reason. With that said, I am sure there are some that get a little power and abuse it, just like there are some shoppers that will lie to make a buck. While my world is seen through "rose colored glasses", it is much easier to live in for me than the cynical world some others may choose. I like to believe the schedulers and companies I am working for have the same ethic that I do. While I am still in the "contact the scheduler" camp, I would be VERY upset to have a 0/20 added to my account. I was not aware they could do that, and it seems more vengeful than it should be. Don't they have to justify this type of a rating with their superiors?
As a scheduler, I do not look at other schedulers flake citations within the company. I try and give every shopper a fair shake with me. However, when a shopper has 6-7+ citations on many different dates with several different schedulers, I do pay attention. And I do give "Hero" citations, because it lets my shoppers know I appreciate them and I consider them to be an excellent shopper. Usually they get a "10/10" hero citation from me.

At Starbucks a hero citation and $3.79 will get you a venti cappuccinosmiling smiley

Damn your Starbucks is cheap. That runs about $6.50 here. But then I do order mine with soy and an extra shot.

Some people actually enjoy being told they did a great job along with being paid. They like the fact that they are appreciated.

Aw come on Dante. It seems you had the same attitude about hero citations when you were a shopper. Sure they are nice, they just don't pay the billssmiling smiley
