Save A Lot

I just did my quiz and reveiw today for the first Save A Lot of the month for me. They have lowered the reibursment down to $1. So I walk through with $1 item and the cashier is supposed to ask me if I want a bag? I have had a manger say if they have one small item they don't ask.
It was nice buying bayfood items to send my daughter but those are all $1.95.

I don't have a problem spending more than the reimbursement. If I need something, I think of the reimbursement as a discount. I'm saving money. When I do grocery shops, I spend way over the reimbursement because I need groceries.

I would always do multiple stores so I would stay wihin the amount. If I needed groceries I go to the one by my house.
you are allowed to spend more...but only do so if its items you would normally get anyway....
You're kidding me! Did the fee remain at $10.00 to conduct the store audit?

I think I am going to start waiting for the calls and incentives to do them.
I won't do them for the standard fee of $10. It takes me about 30 mkinutes in the store if I am very efficient. Plus time to report the shop, and if there are issues, it can take longer. And I have to drive there. I wait for a bonus. If the reimbursement has dropped to $1, then the bonus I require will need to go up by $2 in order to attract me.

Do these shops still require a reveal to the manager?

Yes. After a while all the managers get to know you before you walk in.
I typically buy produce (couple apples, onions, carrots, etc) and stay under or near the reimbursement. Most times, I am offered a bag.
Staying under the new $1 reimbursement limit is going to be a challenge, BellaFenice.

I did one of these -my first- a little over a week ago. I waited until a bonus appeared and received a total of $30. It wasn't hard but it does take time. Having now done one, I can say that I won't do it for $10 and in the future will wait to see if a bonus appears.
My first shop was a Save-a-lot and I haven't seen those shops for years. I cannot even remember what company offered the shops. I will have to watch for them since there are several in my city.
@myst4u - I just looked in my spreadsheet and realized the last ones I did were under the old reimbursement. Grr.
I love the regular Save A Lot mystery shops. Pretty good reimbursement, $35 for an extremely short visit and super easy report. Just haven't seen them on the boards for months now. Anyone else do these?
The only kind of Sav-a-Lot shop I have seen starts with a short mystery shop and ends with an announced audit. Depending upon the number of problems you find, you could end up with a minimum of 2 photographs up to dozens of photographs to upload. They start at $10 and I have never seen one bonused to $35. Even in a store with few problems, going up and down every aisle to count missing items takes time. I can't do this assignment in under 30 minutes, and it sometimes takes longer. Maybe another MSC has a totally different type of assignment. The ones I do show up ever month for every location.

There's only one Sav-A-Lot anywhere close to my house, but its never shown up on the job boards. All the others in town do, but they really linger there for a long time.
