Bonused Lowes Shops

I just realized that I stopped getting emails from the company that offers these shops, often at high bonuses. Last year I was able to score a $40 and $60 bonus, and now these shops are apparently being picked up at $12.

Is there a particular time when bonuses start rolling in? Or did an influx of new shoppers ruin my chances of getting a fat bonus?

Well, I am doing them now for a different company than I did a year ago. The MSC did bonus this last round at the end of the month. I've picked up some with lousy bonuses and some with pretty great bonuses.
I am doing them for the same MSC. There were some very high bonuses towards the end of last year. Now the bonuses are pretty small and mostly non-existant. I think that they hit paydirt by asking shoppers to let them schedule future shops at the same location (no bonus, of course). I refuse to set them auto-assign any shops to me.

They call me constantly for these shops. Other than the gas inventory shops, these are the only thing on the board right now and there are a TON. I keep telling them I don't want to do them and they keep begging me and telling me to name my price. I'm thinking it's time to jump in the pool but the last time I looked at them they appeared to be a huge PITA.

They just called me about some that needed to be done by this weekend. I told them my price and they countered with a lower bonus than what was on the board. If I wanted it for that I would have self-assigned!
The shops are still sitting there so it must not need to be done that badly.
Since they went to the auto-incent system for Lowes, I have not been getting the calls and big bonuses like last year.
It's AMAZING that they don't know what bonuses are listed online. They can't even see them!

As much as I love the work they afford me, they can be VERY frustrating to work for.

I only accept these shops when they are on my route of other, more profitable shops. IMO, they are not difficult shops, but the report is a bit longer and does require narrative.

Still, with the time spent at the location and the subsequent report, the $12 plus $1 max purchase seems underwhelming.

Too bad too; when the old company lost the gas stations to the new company, the payment amounts did rise nicely. I wish these would rise as well.
Last year I converted almost all the lighting in my home from CFL to LED using Lowes shops. The first couple of times the MSC questioned the purchase, but after a couple of explanations, they were fine.

I just picked up two off the board with $75 incentives each. Yeah they are a ways away but in my world $150 for one day is pretty good money.
I did one of these last month at the regular rate when I first signed up with the MSC. I would not do one again without a bonus. I thought the search for an OOS item on their website was more complicated and time consuming than it should have been.
They are offering 2.50 or 3.50 in bonuses for shops that are 45+ miles away. Thanks but no thanks!
I happen to like these, and when I am driving past one, will do it for the original fee. But it has to make business sense. The ones with bonuses currently are simply too far away for me to even consider. As many of you know, I always think in terms of the IRS mileage rate and the cost of my time.

I got a phone call from them last week, I had never shopped for them. I was offered a shop in a town an hour and a half away, I was told to name my bonus, I aimed fairly high, they countered in another call, I said no, they raised it.. I took the 2nd counter. As I had never worked for them, I hadn't proven myself. It was due the next day and they were desperate. Oddly, I can't see anything on their job board in Ontario, neither before doing this shop nor after. I asked and was told it was because I wasn't a proven shopper. Can't really prove yourself with no jobs to pick up.

For the rate the job was listed at they were more hassle then I care to do for 11 dollars even if it was the Lowes in my hometown.
Sometimes (when the stars align) I can get all the interactions done and get out of the store in ten minutes. Sometimes it takes three times that long.

I've done these shops and have always done them at the "low" price. I only choose them when they are on a route that I can add it to.
I quickly learned that opting in to auto-assign was a big mistake with this MSC. I don't do Lowe's because there aren't any near me, but I do other shops for this MSC when the bonuses are large enough. IMHO the regular fees for their shops are too low.
Just did one today I grabbed off the board. It had a $83.50 incentive. They called me the other day for one in my town. I asked for incentive which they had to write up (Come on you called me don't think I am going to do it at base) I asked for $20 incentive they countered lower than the incentive on the job board.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
They always counter, no matter how low your request is. Just make ridiculous requests.

I got an email yesterday (my first one from them) offering me 'the same incentive at the same location if I took it off the board myself". I took it, as I'm still trying to get my foot in the door with them, and still can't see anything else in Ontario. Sadly this trip out of town being the end of the month I couldn't find anything else in the area to pick up.

They called me yesterday to do a gas station audit in NY. I had to google the location, it was 2.5 hours away, each way.. She said name my bonus. I'm like for that much driving $150 as there is no time to try to pick other things up. Scheduler didn't even go to her higher up and come back, just said we can't even. Okay, well that's a ton of driving to Timbucktu for me as I have to drive around Lake Ontario..
I hate hate hate when they say "name your price" and immediately act shocked that we did.

I bought a new outdoor lighting fixture on that shop once and they didn't question me. My out of stock item was a lighting fixture and I saw a really nice one on clearance and mine had a cracked glass on it. I loose money every time I got to a home improvement store.
