Fast food shops returned, closed stores reducing payment

Ive done 8 fast food shops. 5 of the places were closed. My shops were excepted then Of course I didn't get the $1 reimbursement (rightfully) But after a few days I noticed my $5 was reduced to $3 because they were closed permanently. Has anyone else had this happen? Its been two weeks and I'm still getting the other 3 returned they say they can't read the prices on my photos but I can read them perfectly.

Some companies pay the full fee for closed locations, others pay a partial fee. It should be included in the guidelines.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

It does not say that theirs a reduction in guidelines. I've never had this happen so I did email the scheduler but have not heard back and this is day two. Love your qoute! It's never to really for wine!
I've had this happen twice before. I didn't mind since they gave me $3 for doing nothing but showing up. It was on my way somewhere so it wasn't an issue.
Sounds like Market Force. I believe the typical fee guideline for closed locations is $3 or 1/2 the fee, whichever is greater.

This statement might be embedded somewhere in the F.A.Q.

EDIT: My apologies for assuming the MSC this thread is about! Shame on me smiling smiley

It would help if you named the Mystery Shopping Company OR the restaurant chain(s)..not both....since MF was already mentioned by someone else...you could confirm if it was MF.

But it is common practice to offer a reduced fee if the place has shut down.

And fyi...I don't know if you are just be lazy since this is just a message board (like me on here sometimes!!!) but you need to watch your grammar when you do reports.

excepted should be accepted
theirs should be there's/there is
qoute should be quote
really should be early

and be very careful about punctuation....

you may actually be more careful when you do your actual reports...but I just wanted to make sure you are aware of spelling/grammer mistakes...like i said I know I get lazy when good spelling and grammar isn't required.....

Informal writing can make your statements seem unreliable.

you just need to be sure to be very careful on actual reports....too many errors and they may get rejected..or even get you completely deactivated....and some editors have their own issues..

Once i did a report that did not require exact quotes, only the general idea of what was said.

I wrote: The associate said that they did not carry the item.

I lost a point for not using quotes for what the associate said even though it wasn't an actual quote.

I've been accepted for a Verizon shop at a location that had been closed for over a year. Payment was $3. The MSC was NOT MF. I was a bit annoyed, but took a pic of the location and building address and I was outta there! The report was short and sweet too!
There is one MSC which is the worst IMO, reducing all closed locations to $3 and taking away a percentage of the bonus. They seem to think reducing the bonus is common when I have never had it happen with any other company because the bonus is often to cover travel expenses.

To add insult, I once had a closed location given a shop rating of 8. That is beyond absurd.

It's probably the same MSC I was dealing with. I'd be really p.o.'d if I didn't get the bonus or the bonus was reduced!
I'm sure it was and since you mentioned the client.......... winking smiley

Google street view is pretty up to date where I live. I always take a look at a shop address before I accept it if I don't know the shop location with certainty.

I have knowingly taken a closed shop before and figured it was worth a couple of bucks for doing nothing as it was on my way to the store. They had taken a back hoe to the building and all that was left was the slab that had not been broken up yet.

I do the same! Easy money for a couple minutes of your time.

2 out of 3 of my tax prep shops were actual residences as opposed to a storefront. Since I did not have access to them, I could not perform the shops. I took a picture of the house and of the street signs. I am getting a reduced fee of $8.00 each. Not bad for two minutes on site and 5 minutes of report/upload photo time. Oh ya, they were part of a route so I did not really add much extra mileage for the day.

I can't tell if this is irony or parody.
