The word I'm looking for would get replaced by symbols on the forum but it consists of another word for donkey and the round part in the middle of a donut.

Who is SA? All I see is the OP, TNshopper123 and bgriffin.
Have you contacted the MSC and made a polite inquiry? Sometimes things slip through the cracks.

I also started with this company in Jan, I received one payment but not two others. Its the company's payment schedule that you need to check on.

Hmmm...you are waiting to long for your payment? Maybe if your grammar was a tad better you would not have to wait so long? Just sayin'
Really guys? To and too is one of the most common errors. I try to write correctly even on the forum, but don't get too excited if something is missed and don't always go back to edit my post unless it's something that can change the meaning.

Besides, it easy to mis-type something, especially from a phone or a tablet on your lap.

Come to think of it, having a cat walk across your keyboard in the middle of a post doesn't help either, lol.

I haven't done any shops for them but I noticed on their website they have a contact us link that you can fill out with your question. Did that give you any results?

LisaSTL...while I usually agree with your outlook on things relating to our profession I have to take issue with you on this topic. Part of our job is to impart our perspective on the assignments that we have agreed to undertake and impart those observations with a high degree of professionalism and errors in spelling/grammar/context/syntax, etc denigrate and to some degree devalue what we are trying to say and accomplish. Granted "to" and "too" are commonly confused as is "you're" and "your" as well as many others but that doesn't excuse making the mistakes...especially in an industry that is dependent upon clarity. I'm not getting "excited" or even mildly worked up but just trying to make the OP aware of what the responsibilities are in this profession (and some of those responsibilities are writing with precision and clarity). Maybe the OP can use this as a learning experience and not one of being chastised as that was not my intent.
Wll dang this isnt a paid shop so let you're hair down an let the mistkes roll of oof you's finger tips.
I vaguely recall a thread some time ago where we agreed not to be the grammar police on this forum. The consensus was that we should be able to relax and make a mistake or two while on the forum. When I'm posting I am much less vigilant about my spelling and grammar.

Having said that though, it does amuse me when you get a new poster who has the most atrocious spelling complaining about having their assignments rejected.

Anyway bigmo I would follow up with an email and give them a couple more weeks. Some companies take 2-3 months to pay.
I think some forum members are having troll withdrawals so they are just trying to stir up trouble by becoming the Grammer Poolice.
if its through iSecretShop you have to send them the W9 and the IC agreement hard copy scan before they will pay
In regards to the spelling/grammar police....when I am at work...i take my time re read, correct..and triple check....

But, i have a neuro disorder....my fingers fight me and I easily hit the wrong keys....i have to concentrate to use the right words--especially with homophones...

sometimes i see mistakes here....but my hands just hurt to much to care..

just because someone isn't meticulous on here..doesn't mean they aren't more cautious when they have to be..

there are ways to point out errors nicely without sounding like a Catholic School nun teaching English
I'm sorry you are having troubles, jmitw. We all have some sort of problem and yours happens to be this. I didn't want you to think that the rest of this post is about you.

English is a language that always presents something else to learn. I am very good in grammar and spelling. I believe there is still room for me to learn more about grammar and spelling all the time. Even dialect makes a difference.

Just for the others who are careless or don't think that there is always something new to learn each day, I wish you would stop complaining about Grammar Police. As long as the person is trying to be helpful and polite, accept the correction. Here and on Facebook, and having lunch with friends, that's a big way I can learn.

I think that Grammar Police serve an extremely useful position. Think of it this way. Most of us are visual learners. I think that most good spellers are visual learners. If someone misspells something or uses bad grammar, people see it that way quite a bit and then begin to think that it is the correct usage. It is better to have good grammar and spelling because it helps others. In other words, you are being a good example. I've never noticed anyone making that kind of point, but it has always been important to me.

We learn from others here all the time. Let the Grammar Police help you all, too. I'm sure that some of them can help me as well.
The immaturity I see on this forum is a bit appalling, especially since I'm pretty sure many of the active posters are a bit older than me. Are we to assume everyone who posts with grammar mistakes on this forum is a troll? C'mon guys.

As to bigmo56's post, have you followed up with the company yet? As someone stated, it's a good idea to verify with the company what the bottleneck in the payment is and if it's something on your end they need to pay you (W-9, IC Agreement, etc.). If you aren't familiar, sometimes we have to follow up with MSC's about late payments; it happens in this industry.

Speaking of grammar police, I was on an assignment in Walmart recently and overheard this tool that worked in electronics going on about grammar with a Samsung rep who was purposely talking dumb, to be funny. This lonely kid went on to BRAG that he corrects emails all the time and even text messages and sends them back to people. He was bragging about all the places online and in person that he corrects grammar and spelling. I imagine he gets fewer and fewer messages every day.

I skimmed quickly and misread. Regardless, the way people treat each other on here for grammar issues is unreasonable. It's a forum. If we can read the post, then why not just answer the damn question. Skimming through the thread once more, more then half of the posts in the thread are irrelevant to the OP's thread.

That's what happens in a public forum. People go off-topic all the time. Don't sweat it.

Did you shred the cheddar or did you just throw a hunk on the greens? I'm guessing you cooked the bacon. Did you cut it in pieces before you cooked it or did you crumble it afterward? You really should provide more details as generalized and vague posts are no help at all. Please provide a longer narrative, will you? I'm trying to learn to make a salad and I have to say you're not doing me any favors.

I suggest feta and kalamata olives.

Cut the feta into small chunks and add the olives. sprinkle with a nice balsamic and olive oil vinaegarette. I've found McCormick's Montreal Steak Seasoning works best with the vinegarette.

My husband says the feta smells terrible but tastes wonderful. he drinks PBR with it (when doesn't he??).
