My shop tracker

I have been a proponent of this company, but have had issues with it (slowness, inaccurate reports). I am now having some work stopping issues, and cannot get a response from their "help". I have been trying all day. Does anyone have a phone number for them? They just took an auto renew fee last week, and now it seems I can hear crickets Who cares about a good product once you have the cash?? I know this is probably an over reaction, but I am truly ticked off. If any one has a contact number, I would appreciate it if you could share it with me. Thank you.

I am having the same problem. It took about a month or longer to get them to fix the problem so I could pull last year's reports for tax purposes. Unfortunately I do not have their phone number. This morning the website won't even pull up. I get this message: "Page Cannot Be Found Error 404." I really liked this site though because it would put in the mileage for me. I may just start using an excel spreadsheet before I get to far into this year.
Why would you rely on a program to put the mileage in for you? Granted, on local shops it wouldn't err that much but, on a week-long route, you could have 50 or more miles of cumulative errors. Six of those routes a year is 300 miles which is $172.50 this year. Always record your actual mileage.

The above reason is the exact reason I use the program. On a route, it figures out the mileage, and I do not need to depend on memory to record mileage between stops. It can record routes, since it allows you to input a starting and ending point, as well as end of route. If it worked as advertised, it would be great, I am having a lot of unresolved issues with the "My Shop Tracker", and am waiting for resolution. I will repost in a week to let everyone know if the resolution was forthcoming. I have made many attempts to reach out to the company, and some were rather desperate, but I have received two responses. The first was "send us examples", and the second was in response to me removing the auto renewal. I was offered a refund on the term of my recently renewed contract. Since I have already got the first two months of the year on their system, I opted to complete the year. Since that contact a week and a half ago, things have gotten worse, and there is still no response to the old, or the new issues I am experiencing. I will give them a little longer, and will return to share the results.
Hi! Everybody,

This is a repeat of a separate post elsewhere on this site, so save yourself some time if you have already read it there. I just wanted to give everyone a chance to see my feedback on this subject. Time is money!

I have been using MyShopTracker since 06/2011, which was about 3 months after I started in this business. Not only do I use it for Mystery Shopping, but also for Merchandising. It allows the user (you) to put new client business addresses in the form, if they were not already there previously. This goes for places you shop, as well as companies you shop for. I find it to be user friendly and pretty much self explanatory. I do not know how I could have gotten along without it, since I know nothing about how to work a spreadsheet. Because of this, I have been able to build a solid business with more than enough work for one person to handle. The cost is not only tax deductable, it pays for itself in freed up time so you can get other more important jobs accomplished. I would gladly pay twice as much as they currently charge and would not bat an eye about it. The few times I have had any concerns about technical issues, my inquiries were addressed in a timely manner and follow up was also given as needed.

Personally, my biggest concern with this company is that they could find themselves not making it worth their while to continue to offer this service. I would be left out in the cold, having to take extra time I can ill afford to learn how to do this with a different method. They deserve our support and the ability to make an honest buck on this service. It costs money to run a web site and have technicians on hand when problems arise, as they always do when it comes to machines. Who knows how many other hidden expenses are involved in a site of this magnitude? Why is everyone always looking for a FREE handout? Remember, you get what you pay for and cheap is not always best, as well as the most expensive is not always so, either.

I don't rely on my memory to record mileage. I reset the trip odometer at the beginning of a route and I'm all set.

I have used MyShopTracker for the past three years. There have been some minor hiccups, but the administrator has been responsive to my questions. It may not be easier than Excel and it does cost a little money (one video shop pays for it), but I don't have to keep track of mileage because that it calculated for me. Also I can run end of year reports to take to my CPA for income tax preparation. I will continue to use this as long as it is available.
