Winn Dixie

Do any of you "Southerners" know if another MSC has picked up Winn Dixie? I have not seen them for about 2 months on the usual company's board. Thanks much!

The last time I did the Bi-Lo out of stock audit, Winn Dixie had been removed from the authorization letter.

From what I have been told by a Winn Dixie Manager, the program has been dropped. At least the audits, the only ones I did.
Kroger is buying Winn Dixie

Have not seen a Winn-Dixie in about 20 years.

A Dad shopping the Ark-LA-Tex and beyond.
LOVE LOVE LOVE Winn Dixie (aka to me "The WD"winking smiley! I used to do their mystery shops many years ago and actually asked the meat manager at the one I frequent if they still had mystery shopping and he told me that it was now done in-house. I'm not sure if that is for the Mississippi ones (I'm in South MS) only?

It does look like the Florida Winn Dixies were rumored to be bought out by Kroger but the articles I found from 1/2015 didn't mention any other state.

Doesnt surprise me. more and more companies are taking their programs in house as
software improves and big data becomes easier for them to sort
this trend will continue as they won't need a middle man to do it
for them anymore.

I used to work for Winn Dixie as a department manager and monthly, we would get reports of no-one being in the Deli or Bakery by the mystery shopper. This company took those reports seriously...

They closed 26 WD's in 2010 sadly.
Winn Dixie in my area (Tampa Bay, FL) just bought Sweetbay. My next question is . . . is Kroger's shopped? I am from OH and there are Kroger's up there, but I didn't mystery shop way back when I lived there. I like grocery store shops a lot - I go there anyway! Thanks.
I love winn dixie they are near me I shop them fairly often smiling smiley

I last shopped WD in February, but I did not see any ms for March. I was wondering if the program had stopped. Krogres buying out WD in Florida is only a rumor, at this point.
