While I understand the attraction to free food for Easter, I think the particular brand is highly overrated!
I agree that they are overrated. They are also overpriced, which is probably why they get snatched up so quickly. I personally wouldn't spend my money on them, but the shop is pretty easy.
What's the report like, Phoebe?
I totally agree with the overpriced and overrated opinions. I bought one many years ago for the first time because my family members raved about them. The next year I but a spiral sliced from the grocery store and never looked back. I couldn't tell the difference. I'm not sure if I could tell the difference if I had them in a side-by-side taste test either.

Ah, yes! Most definitely! Even though it's just the two of us now, we still by spiral hams every now and then when we have a hankering for them. They make a LOT of meals and the the bone makes a great soup or stock to freeze for later.

The other one was at a grocery store and you had to evaluate the person at the ham kiosk. Did they suggestive sell or up-sell, etc.
Both were pretty easy. Oh, and I had to take photos of the ham once it was unwrapped.

I've never had a good spiral ham, even theirs. They're always so dry. Warm or cold, they're very very dry. Maybe my mom never prepared them well (she was the only one that ever bought them). She wasn't exactly a decent cook.

Does anyone know how to make their coleslaw? Not that I am eating food right now - had a stomach bug. The one store that was in my area up and left - right after I figured out what MSC had them.

BTW - remember the MASH episode where Radar let the lamb go because he didn't want to see it get killed, cooked, and eaten? They got everyone drunk and made a lamb out of spam - classic!

Another winner. You have no idea if that poster respects their mom.
Do we use God Spiral Ham for Easter or for any occasion?
We just buy a grocery spiral cut ham and pack the openings and outside with a small amount of mustard and a large amount of brown sugar. It tastes the same because it is the same.
