The $75 auto shops

How is everyone doing with these? Had one accepted and my husband has had one rejected and one cancelled mid project.......

The editor is fairly rude in his comments. I'm done with them.

Anyone have better experience than me?

Which MSC, please? since you have not named the client, you can name the MSC. Several come to mind that have similar shops.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
I did one in Feb which was my first, and a second one when they got bonused earlier this month. I had to email on each assignment as there were snags. The editor has always been polite to my first email, if I have to email a reply, the second email is short and very to the point. I assume if I'm having to email and feel I understand the guidelines, he's getting a lot of emails from people with more random questions. My second one was the highest end car that retailer sells with some odd packages tacked on. Car salesperson was a nightmare about the entire experience. So much so I made a thread on it when it was happening. My second visit I had to wait an hour even though I had had an appointment. If I was actually buying a $125,000 car, I would have gone home after about 20 minutes. It was a boring painful hour..
No 2 negotiations for me then. I thought it might be a nice video shop, lol.

I did the $75 one. Two visits were required. You had to listen to a web-call where everyone was on the line, for your training.

Would I do it again? No. tongue sticking out smiley
I enjoy doing car shops but this one I stay away from. When they first started with this project I applied and listened to the training. After hearing what was involved I canceled it. Although $75 sounds like a lot you have to realize that since it requires 2 visits it is really only $37.50 a visit. I sometimes get more than that from another MSC that does car shops.
And, should I mention, I think I was in there like 3 hours, while they dickered the price...THEN I had to go back and get the price lowered (I think) and that took over an hour too. So, think about your time. I'm not saying you will be there 3 hours but when you count everything, the walk-around, the test drive, the BS'ing, the dickering of prices, it takes time.

Buying a REAL car, I have sat there 4 hours....
I did it once and might have done it again but the way email and such were handled... nope. They started the year wanting shoppers to sign on for the full program of doing about 40 of these shops. I was willing but they wanted a list of all the dealerships I had not shopped. I only did one and did not know exactly who the shopped. They never responded.
If you took a test drive you DID THE SHOP WRONG!
TEST drives are not allowed on the negotiation shops
I've done this shop once and to me it seemed like A LOT of info to gather for the pay. It's more than what the average person would do for sure. If I'm really desperate I would do it again but that's the only way. A bit draining for the $75.

NEVER, too easy for them to reject and keep the info........

That's exactly what I was thinking. I was just so blindsided by how rude the editor was.
There have been other threads on this topic.
the Editor Rich has REPEATEDLY rejected shops from multiple shoppers that had the required info.
He uses the excuse that other shoppers are getting deeper discounts so he wont accept the report.
He does not state in the published guidelines that the discount you receive is compared to other shoppers of the same model to determine if your shop is accepted.
If you get a stingy dealer, (which is out of your control) , your shop will be rejected.
