PayPal Debit Card

Does anyone use this instead of transferring the cash to your bank account? If so, any opinions? Thanks.

I use it where I can use it. Its not accepted everywhere. So I still transfer money. Just got my new PP debit card yesterday. It has a alot of features. Haven't explored them all.

I have a PayPal Business Debit card (from back in the day) with the Mastercard Logo. I use it for any MSC that pays via PayPal. I use the PayPal debit card just like any other debit card.
For all other MSCs I have a Schwab Bank Investor Checking account. So any that have direct deposit or checks I use that. I can do a photo check deposit via the Schwab app and a plus is this account type has no 'out of network' or foreign ATM fees. I can use any ATM anywhere in the world, and the fee will be refunded at the end of the month.
Between these two it keeps my MS money out of our regular household accounts.
I always sweep the money into my bank account. I don't even use it if I'm about to pay for something with Paypal; I take it out first and pay for whatever I'm buying with a credit card transfer back into Paypal.

I do that so that the amounts hitting my bank account match the amounts I was paid by the MSC. At the end of the year I reconcile every shop to my Quicken file (I found a missed PayQuicker amount last year that was slowly being eaten by "inactive account" fees).

It gets confusing when I have a credit card amount of $15 when the purchase was $25 because it used $10 that was in the PP account from a bank shop. I don't want to have to look in two places for the purchase if I need to find it for some reason.

But I'm an accountant and we can tend to be anal about stuff like that.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
I never transfer PayPal to my bank. Always use it up via debit card to get the 1% cash back.

I roll my Paypal money into my bank account, but since I'm not paying day to day expenses with my mystery shopping earnings I wait until there's several hundred dollars. Somehow moving a large chunk of change makes me feel richer.

my card has been accepted anywhere that accepts debit...I just use the money right off the card just like a regular debit
Big fan of PP debit card - have been using it for more years than I can remember -- since it first became available. I began using PP when I did a lot of selling on ebay many years ago and signed up for the debit card when it was offered. Never had a problem.

With the mastercard logo, it's accepted everywhere. I don't know if they still offer cashback to new debit card users, but I get 1% cashback on all of my non-PIN transactions with the debit card. And while no company is 100% safe from cyberattacks and the like, I've always found PayPal to be really good where security is concerned. My experience is that they are very proactive.
I've used the PP business debit card for many years and enjoy the 1% cash back at the end of the month.
