paid bonus only

I rec'd paypal notice for amount of $ that I was not familiar with. I checked my records & it equals the bonus amount for 2 valet shops from March. What happened to actual payment & reimbursement? Is it normal for a co to pay the bonus 1st & regular pay later? i got 10s with glowing comments from editor on both shops so i don't understand where my payment is. Is this a paypsl issue?

Occasionally a mistake is made with payments. Without knowing which company this is it is difficult to advise you of what is regular with the company that owes you money. Many companies have an area on your account page where you can see what payments are pending and paid. If yours does check that first to see if it matches what you are expecting. But I have also heard of some companies sending different payments out one by one. Check your account and then contact your msc if what they still owe does not match what you are expecting. If it still shows pending then you might give it a day or two.
All the companies I am signed with that do paypal send an email from the msc when a payment is sent out in addition to the notice I get from paypal so perhaps there is more coming if they have not yet sent that notice to you.

Another thing that might add to your confusion is that some companies send payments from a different name than they otherwise interact with mystery shoppers. For example, payments from Service Sleuth come from HS Brands.

it is the right co but the paypal amount equals the 2 bonus amounts combined. i am owed the reg shop fee & reimbursement for valet costs. i don't want some people in here to jump on my case so i am not saying which co. some members want to attack newbies for no real reason. this is unusual form.

It's possible you were quoted the full job price with reimbursement included. I has an MSC do that. They agreed to pay me $x.xx, and I assumed that we were negotiating the payment PLUS the stated costs. They were quoting me the cost + payment. I only let that happen once.

Ask your scheduler. Some companies pay fees, bonuses, and reimbursements separately. And some just screw up once in awhile. If you ask your scheduler they can likely explain how it works or refer you to the accounting department.

I would say e-mail them. There are several companies I work for who pay the regular fee/reimbursement and the bonus amount in separate payments. Sometimes this is because the bonus amount comes out of the scheduler's bonus fund. And sometimes it is actually paid by the scheduler because he is either not paid or does not receive a schedule bonus if all shops in the release are not scheduled.

Recently, I accepted a bonused QAMS job at the special request of the scheduler. I got shop payment/reimbursement from QAMS. The bonus was mailed directly to me from the scheduler, on his personal check with his home address as the return address on the envelope.

on the shop log it says: Shop Fee: $
Expenses: $
Bonus: $
TOTAL: $
i blanked out $ amounts. the total reflects everything minus bonus amount. it is the same on both shops. i tried callinfg office for payroll but no answer on weekend.
so it is possible to receive bonus by paypal and rest of amount by check? that is weird.

If the company pays by PayPal, and the scheduler is responsible for paying the bonus, it is possible, because the scheduler may find it easier to write a check than send a PayPay payment.

A couple of years ago I did a bonused shop for Monterey without realizing the scheduler would be paying the bonus. Monterey pays fast and by PayPal. When I got their PayPal payment, it was short the bonus. I e-mailed them and Ryan Scott quickly e-mailed me back. He explained that the scheduler was responsible for the bonus and told me the scheduler had another 3 weeks in which to make payment to me. He said if I did not receive it by that date to e-mail him back. I did receive it, a check rather than PayPal.

ok thanks. i kept the bonus $ sitting in paypal until i find out what is going on. i probably have to wait until monday.

Good idea to leave the funds sitting there for now. Until you hear from them there is no way of knowing if they will want to recall the incorrect amount and reissue or just send the balance due. While it's not standard procedure apparently there are some companies who pay fees/reimbursements separately. So far it hasn't happened to me so it strikes me as kind of odd.
