PayQuicker?

I didn't get anything about 2 small deposits. However I received another email from Dwolla today that they have received the funds and the money will be transferred to my bank account in another one to two business days. So the process is taking a week to complete if it goes through as indicated.

I called Dwolla this morning. The gentleman was very helpful (and spoke English, which is more than I can say for Paypal LOL).

He said that basically there are two types of Dwolla accounts. There's what he called "Dwolla Light" which is just a basic account allowing you to receive funds. Then there is the more detailed account, if you want to also have the ability to send funds. Since I will only be receiving money, I signed up for the "Dwolla Light" which does not require you to verify two small deposits. He said I should be receiving the funds in my account by 10 AM tomorrow (CST).
I think that I was one of the first to complete the paperwork with Dwolla. On April 23rd, I received an email from Dwolla saying that $xy.ab would be sent to my bank account in 2 -3 business days. I just got another email from them.

So, I called Dwolla. They are a class operation. I was told that Ace has now arranged for faster payment processing, so that the next time, payments will be processed faster. Since it was free, I upgraded to a full account. It happened in real time. I will now be able to see deposits, withdrawals, make payments to other people, etc. I was assured that the money would show up at 9:30 AM CDT on Thursday, and to call back if it doesn't appear. I enocurage each of you to do the free upgrade since what you are able to see is so much richer in content, and it is still FREE.

I have an LLC, and am entitled to a second, free DWOLLA account for my LLC. It would be a separate account, which I view as a good thing.

I checked my bank account and the money is indeed there today. It is "pending", but that is just the way my bank handles all direct deposits on the day that they arrive. Success! {I also posted this in another thread a few minutes ago.}

Ok so it seems like this DWOLLA is not my cup of tea. MFI and BARE have DD and they or I don't seem to have to go through a third party to get my shopper payment. After clearly reading this post and the other one, third party DD is not for me. So ACE you'll just have to continue to email me shops and I will continue to ignore them. I did not like PayQuicker but it seems I may not like DWOLLA either.
Sojo - You really have no way of knowing whether Bare or MFI uses a third-party to administer their Direct Deposit transactions or not. Do you do shops for Ath Power? If so, you are getting paid by their third-party vendor. Sentry Marketing uses a third party issue their checks. So far, Dwolla has worked exactly as promised (a little slower than promised, but that will apparently change), so what do you spefically object to? Maybe the rest of us don't see what you see?

I see exactly what Sojo is saying, although that does not mean I won't sign up with Dwalla. With Bare, MF, Ardent, and other MSCs who provide direct deposit, I provided my bank routing number directly to the MSC. There was no requirement to create an account with a third party. Any third party dealings were handled on the MSC's end. I think he is merely asking why he would be asked to take this additional step of creating a third party account, and it's a valid question. I am guessing it is a cheaper way for ACE to do the direct deposit, which in no way makes it a negative for me. Just saying that he is only asking why ACE's chosen method of direct deposit puts an additional requirement on the shopper, the requirement to create a third party account.
I had to go the the Bill.com website and set up an account with them in order to receive checks or get Direct Deposit from Ath Power. Why aren't people upset with that? Sentry Marketing uses an outside vendor to issue checks, and I was never even asked if I wanted them to provide that vendor with my information. Why aren't people upset with that?

Anyone who receives payments from the dozens of MSCs which pay through PayPal had to set up an account at PayPal and provide PayPal with their bank account information. Why aren't people upset with that?

People may very well be upset with that. We might hear unhappiness with Sentry and Ath if someone starts a thread discussing the payment policies of those companies. The reason no one is discussing those MSCs is that this is a thread about PayQuicker and ACE.

I think trust might factor into this a little. The trust level for ACE is a little low, since PayQuicker was implemented somewhat "after the fact" in September 2011, with shoppers having performed shops before learning they would not be paid by check (per the policy that was in place when the shops were performed) and would be required to set up a PayQuicker account in order to be paid. All the recent fees that "suddenly surfaced" with PayQuicker are NOT new. The fees were all listed in the fee schedule PayQuicker had in effect in September 2011 when ACE chose to begin using them. After reading PayQuicker's fee schedule, I and many others decided "no way" in November 2011, despite the fact that I loved working with ACE.

I think this is something new. Dwolla seems a little slow, but, according to reports, it is working. I LOVED working for ACE and would love to work for them again. I will probably sign up with Dwolla.

Some shoppers will immediately embrace this and others will not. Sometimes you've just got to let people feel how they feel.
Ace just announced a policy change -- they will now be paying by direct deposit. Yay.

Yes, doogie, read all the posts in this thread between your first one and this one and you can learn all about their policy change.
