i was told not to name companies or clients. just talk in general. schedulers & co owners read this forum.
Not sure whom told you what, but if you read the forum you will find out you are allowed to mention one, or the other, just not both.

MSNinja, I think you are misunderstanding the requirements. As isaiah58 says, you can name a mystery shopping company in your post OR you may name a client. You may not name both, because the majority of companies include a confidentiality clause in the Independent Contractor Agreements (ICA) that each shopper signs. Our forum guidelines also prohibit disclosing the clients of MSCs.

I can understand your reluctance, based on responses to the unprofressional posts of some forum members. Forum members tend to "pounce" on those who make unprofessional posts; for example "Don't shop for XXX!" "XXXX is a bunch of scammers!" "XXX is Rude and Unprofessional!"

There would be nothing unprofessional about identifying a company (or a client, as long as it is not both) for purposes of asking a question or telling us about a problem with the company. In fact, the best way to get an answer to a question or to get feedback on a problem is to identify the company involved.
MSNinja,

Hi! I have done a few certification quizzes for a few different companies. That has not happened to me.

However, if I wanted to share something about one of those certifications, I might say, "Everyone, I have a question. I tried to take a certification test for [name of client] and the weirdest thing happened. The computer told me that I had zero wrong answers and failed this test. How can this be? Has this happened to you? If so, how did you handle it? I appreciate any feedback that you can provide because this situation is puzzling and frustrating."

In the example, I named the client but not the msc. You could do the same or the opposite in your actual question.

I hope you will receive some feedback soon.

@MSNinja You're not a newbie anymore. By 88 posts you must know by now that it's one or the other but not both. This forum pretty much has one rule and it's posted on nearly every page.

i joined forum less than a month ago. i only access it 1-2 days a week. there have been some real nasty posts on here. people telling people to shut up & calling them trolls. there are others who seem to have their heads in sand & think everything is roses all the time.
There's been an influx of people (or possible one person) creating new accounts over and over for the sake of starting and perpetuating arguments. Then there are the self-righteous who feel like everyone needs to think they way they do.
It's the internet. Unfortunately, there's very little we can do to avoid it. If it's any consolation, it probably happens less here than in 80% of internet forums.

Now, now, Mrs Ninja, we don't have a lot of trouble trolls here anymore because we ignore them smiling smiley
Again, back to the subject at hand. I would be curious to know which company this happened with. I suspect that MSC software is glitchy and old.

Do not read so much, look about you and think of what you see there.

I forgot which msp but there was one who had a quiz/demographics qualifier. If you didn't meet the requirements demographic wise then you would fail the quiz despite having zero incorrect answers. This may be the case for the op.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
If you don't meet the demographics which is already in your profile on their web site, why would they even send you the quiz?
Have you tried contacting the MSC directly to let them know what happened and see if they have an answer for you? I have not had this happen before, so unfortunately, I can not be of much help.

"failed quiz but missed 0 questions" I read this to mean "didn't pass the quiz but provided an answer to every question".

I agree with the poster that suggested you contact the MSC.

It might make a lot of sense, but no one here wants to guess at what actually happened.

I passed a test then at the end was blocked from all the shops. I called the MSC, I had clicked an option that I though asked what kind of shop I was taking the test for, instead the question was what areas do you work in. I inadvertently excluded myself. The MSC fixed it for me.

A general answer to your general question then is yes, you can fail the underlying purpose of a quiz even if you answer everything right.

I can see that you know exactly how this all works ....
I had a similar experience with GFK and I am anything but stupid, but I told them to never mind. It wasn't worth it to me to have this hassle.
GFK marked me wrong for answers that were right. I had to cut and paste the correct answers from the manual to prove I answered correctly. Also the radio buttons change when submitted...jumping from yes to no, so a question that any dufus could answer was marked wrong. I had to take a screen shot of the test before I hit submit to prove what my answers were. They did go in to the system and correct it but as far as I know the test is still wrong.
Same thing happened to me, their reaction ... nothing. Amazing.

I guess because the quiz really doesn't matter that much, if they need you to do a shop they will give you the answers.

I just failed a quiz for GFK three times, which I guess disqualifies me for the shop. I found the quiz to be deceptive and a few questions didn't align very well with what was in the guidelines. I am removing myself from GFK because this single quiz has given me an idea of how they will be to work for.

I failed their quiz after three tries and just assumed I was cancelled then got a reminder e-mail. The scheduler got me another try which I passed. My really serious problem came when trying to enter the report. Many of the pick boxes wouldn't hold the answers. When I emailed the scheduler about this problem, she replied that it was probably a compatibility issue between GFK and my system and suggested using three other browsers. I was already using the first one she mentioned. I was finally able to get it to submit but spent a ridiculous amount of time doing it.

I hadn't done any jobs for them since 2013 and wish now they didn't let me retry the quiz and know their problem is definitely outdated software.
Was there a video portion that was required? I took a certification quiz that had a video portion that was required. If I didn't do the video I would automatically fail-even if I passed the test!
I failed that quiz too. A couple of the questions were troublesome. The company, however, is good to work for. They pay on time and they are very fair when it comes to fixing errors with reports. I passed May's exam and did my first audit. They paid within two weeks. I had one problem to fix and everything was good. I'm going to try again in July. Loved the experience!
Got a message from Bare making me take their basic certification test today before I could sign up for any shops with them. lolololol I've done 657 shops for them already!
