New rules for submitting your CPI (MF)...

There was a post previously about someone who submitted their CPI "before" submitting their shop. Here is what I found on Market Force this morning:

Shoppers will no longer be able to electronically sign their CPI before submitting their shop. You will get the following message: Please submit the CPI after completing the shop.

Please do not sign your CPI until after you have completed and reported your shop. The CPI is your invoice to us and needs to be submitted after the assignment is completed.

Wow, I never even thought to do my CPI before shop. I get into such a routine: report, scan, cpi. Done!

Hey Sunny..

Did you happen to notice if this new rule appeared AFTER that thread was started about how someone always submitted their CPI before their report? Perhaps someone from Marketforce is reading this board and not identified themselves.

Fax Line is Temporarily Unavailable

Our fax line is temporarily down, but we expect it to be back on line later today or tomorrow. If you are trying to submit your receipts or other shop documentation via fax, please keep trying periodically. It is not necessary to write to Help Desk to let us know. We will try and post another message when it is back up; however, you might be aware of that yourself before us if you are periodically trying!

This would be a good time to remind everyone that our fax line will be phased out later this year as scanning/uploading is the preferred method of submitting your shop documentation. Scanning is immediate and we do not have to wait for faxed documents to be processed. Remember, you do not need a scanner to upload your documents. Just take a clear picture of the document with your smart phone and upload that to your computer and from there you can quickly and easily upload it to our system via the Receipt page.
Several are reading here. At one time, a very helpful person who said she was a MF Advocate posted here a couple of times. Her posting abruptly stopped, as though she was told to stop.

Many MSCs read here. Over the years, a number of schedulers and editors have posted. Many MSCs seem not to mind that their employees read here, but a lot of them prohibit the employees from posting and representing the company.
I realize this one was posted May 2 and today is about faxing. When I posted this, it was the first one I saw, then when I logged back in, I saw the fax message. smiling smiley

To "me" it says that person wants to submit payment before submitting the shop smiling smiley It's like asking for the money for the work you that haven't done yet.
It would really mess me up if I did the CPI first. I do the report, do the pictures, then do the CPI and receipt, then verify that CPI and receipt went through, and only then do I close out of Market Force (or go on to the next report, if I did two MF in one day which often happens). Same with Maritz. I do the report, submit it, it brings up the "you didn't attach the photos" screen, I do all the photos, submit that, and only then do I do the invoice. Invoice is always last for the same reason i don't want tax clients paying me up front (I don't have an invoice to match the payment to). I don't invoice until i have earned it. With a day job, we don't turn in the time card until after the end of the week. It's just completely out of order to invoice for something you haven't done yet. Our reports, not the shop itself, are our work product. We're paid for the report, not for eating the meal or asking the banker about ODP.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
I thought that thread was started after that person got the message to submit it after......

I did. and that was April 24. Today is May 3.

And for those, Right fighters---------> If you go to FAQs for MFI. Revised as of December 2014 the following "answer" was included on the FAQ about CPIs.................>"CPIs and receipts should be submitted no later than 12 hours after the assignment was completed. If you plan to scan/upload, you should----------> submit your CPI and receipt/business card...............>immediately before or after entering the report. You will have an option to upload the CPI and receipt at the end of the report, or you can upload the files through the "Submit CPI/Receipts" page."

I can only ASSUME, now they will be revising the FAQs, to say, as of May 2, 2015.

Furthermore, MFI apparently had no problem with MY reports. AS the message now reads---------->"Shoppers will................> no longer be able to electronically sign their CPI before submitting their shop.<<<<<<<<<You will get the following message: Please submit the CPI after completing the shop.

And this I have no objections, too, other than the one stated on April 24. I will do what I need to keep my shoppers checks coming.

BTW, the shops were ALWAYS, completed, before the CPI was submitted, it was the report that was submitted later.smiling smiley

I am glad that MFI still reads the forum. It just puts us all on the same page. And wasn't MFI CEO part of the Mystery shopping Magazine a few issues back? You didn't think they just stick their head in the sand and kept it there?
actually--it does often seem like they stick their head in the sand.....most of the time I contact them...i get a nonsense answer....i will ask about a grocery shop and get a response about a gas station shop, etc....at least 3 out of 4 contacts I have received a nonsense answer...its to the point if i have a question...i just don't do the shop anymore...and don't waste my time asking
