The last place she went to the vet tech got upset with her and slammed her down on the table after grabbing her bad knee. I went complete NYC on him. The vet defended the tech which got me more riled. I grabbed my pup and kept screaming at them as I left the building. My poor pup was traumatized and kept whimpering and screeching. It took me an hour to calm her and get her out of my arms. I was in tears because she was in so much pain. I made calls afterward but received no resolution on the matter. My pup is now apprehensive of white coats and medical smells. She will tuck tail, glue herself to me and bow her head. She goes limp in my arms and lets med techs touch her however that is usually because I am holding her and cooing at her. Up in Oregon I had an amazing vet that took off his white coat and met the pups in a non-med smelling room. He also had treats galore including putting some of the vita paste stuff on a tongue depressor to side track the pups. I miss him so much but he is just too far right now.
Anyway, I am grateful that I get her a full checkup and an opinion on her limping once a month.
Just lost trying to find a fire pit in a concrete jungle wishing it was a wooded glen...
if it wasn't for bad luck, I would have no luck at all
