Coupon app shop

I had to re-read this email a couple of times and shake my head in wonder. I know MS companies tend to undervalue us and I wonder sometimes if the clients is just seeing us as a way to enhance their bottom line in more ways than one.

I got an email today saying they want us to upload a coupon app to one's Smartphone, then go to a store and see if it's working properly when making a purchase. That makes sense until you read it over carefully and see that there is NO fee and you must make a $25 purchase in order to use a $10 coupon. Unless you're good at making an immediate return of that purchase and manage to photo the receipts quickly for your report the client is not only getting a free report but making a $15 profit from the shopper on every shop we do.

I say "mule fritters" to that. I'll pass.

This doesn't sound like a mystery shop.

Can you give us more information?

It looks like it. It's a non revealed shop but of course there's no fee and maybe I'm just old fashioned but I won't work for a coupon.

The first round you got reimbursed the full $25, this round it's been reduced to $10.

Right. I had to check that twice.

Pick out at least $25 worth of merchandise (let's say exactly $25).
Use $10 off $25 coupon, so out of pocket $15
Get $10 reimbursed.
Be out $5.
Write up report for free.

Um NO! I'm not doing that.

Maybe $15 reimbursed, $0 fee? Still iffy.
I will use my $10 off $10 coupon that I got in the mail. No report.

I don't shop at that store but I did receive the email. All of the locations are gone within a 99-mile radius. I guess some people like working for coupons.
I think Cettie initially said that all you get out of the deal is the coupon itself. You can find these $10 off $25 coupons at the store's website about every other weekend. I get printed ones in the mail too, along with ones in the newspaper. Plus I sometimes get $10 off $10 in the mail. And you used to get a survey on the receipt for an extra 10% off which some employees would let you stack with other coupons. And nobody editing that survey winking smiley
