RBG electronics price audit w/CodeREADr app?

I will be passing by this large mega discount store. It appears as if you have to scan the bar code of the product with an APP on your phone and then enter the price for 40 cents per line item. They are describing things like "fitness bracelets".

This is not an authorized audit and you can be tossed from the store if caught. Normally all of this type of merchandise is locked in the circular glass case with the other expensive electronics. I can imagine finding a store employee to let you hold one or two of them as they stand there and watch you snap a photo of the bar code with your phone could take 20 minutes. There is usually a line in this department with one employee or no employee if non busy hours.

Has anyone ever done this type of audit and succeeded, much less made it worth the effort for the payment?

Most employees will not care, and if they ask, just tell the, you want to compare the price. Doesn't your smart phone have a price checking app?
