Fast food "delivery truck audits"

Are they worth it or are they the IKEA of the fast food world?
It would be nice if you could do a few a day on a route but it's hard to tell if that's possible based on just the PPT they send out.

Rule number one IMO. Never sign up to do any job twice until you've done and turns it in once already.

Ya, I normally wouldn't do that. But I don't want to commit to even one if they totally suck. The fact that there's a two-hour window for the trucks arrival and the possible need to start at 6am is a deal breaker for me, I think.

When I have seen food trucks offered, you have figure out where the truck will be and go there. Some require that you call (?) the truck. None of them have seem at all appealing to me. I suspect that there is more than one of these food truck assignments floating around.

Oh wait. Sorry. This isn't a food truck. It's auditing the truck that delivers frozen food to Burger King.

I've nver seen a shop to audit a delivery truck. My first inclination would be to make sure that the fee covered two hours of waiting (lost opportunity time) plus the time to do the audit. And what happens if it is late and takes 2:45 or 3:30 to get there? Trucks get stuck in traffic, accidents happen, etc.

I've done about 30 of these BK Truck Audits.

The Cons: They tie up your day. You must wait for the truck. The trucks were late anywhere from 2-12 hours. If you leave and the truck arrives, no audit for you. (You must be there before the truck) No money for you. If you divide the time you are there, by how many other shops you could have done, in that same time frame you would have made more money.

Pros: I liked to read. I would go through 5 magazines waiting for the trucksmiling smiley

I won't knock them other than the time contraints. I may pick up one here or there but right now too busy.

I repeat again: If you take one, do not schedule anything else for that day. That is the main drawback of these audits.
