A word of caution regarding these shops. I only did it once and the experience was a wee bit distressing.
If you are female, you may be regarded as a hooker. Apparently, this is an area where they do work. Also drug dealing. Often there is an undercover person watching the area.
Be ready to show your ID and your some type of information that you are doing a mystery shop.

I had home renovations done last year...they told me 4 days without a bathroom..ended up a full week with no running water and 3 weeks without a toilet...I considered taking one of these out of necessity! But the nearest one is about 90 minutes away!

I would have thrown the contractors off the job on the first day.
They can put a $4 temporary shut off valve on the hot and cold water line where they cut it off to the area being remodeled. Even if it is in the wall and temporary. They should also cover all exposed drains, so no sewer gas comes back up as the traps are going to be missing.
You can also fill several buckets of water ahead of time to dump in another toilet when the water is off to force a manual flush if you need to flush something solid.

they tried that at 1st....the pipes were so old it was impossible to get the right part...they ran off to home depot to get the part...came back 2 hours and many stores later because it just wasn't available...
and it didn't matter much as it would have only given me a day of water before they started on the kitchen...I have one bathroom and one kitchen...i don't have another toilet.

That's what truck stops are usually like. The big one in Barstow, CA is like that.

I would have demanded that they get me a port-a-potty. Going through a reconstruction phase now. Supposedly that will not happen to me. Might have to see if one of the neighbors will let us use a hose from there house. But not the guy's behind us as my wife says he is an @#$%&, even the city construction (ie public works) guy's and the person that marks the utility lines say so.
